works fairly well.
This works fairly well but still leaves my hair feeling icky and looking powdery. I'll keep looking for that product that works as well as regular powder does for blondes.

life saver
I wish I had discovered this product years ago. It smells great and it absorbs the oil in my greasy hair instantly. I find sprinkling directly onto my hair works fine...just be careful not to get it on your clothes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Left hair gritty - black powder rubbed off on hands, clothes
I was really excited about a good, dry shampoo with no smell, but the downsides to this product are too large to continue using it.The powder comes in an easy-to use container, which was good. However, the black powder left my hair feeling really gritty, and despite doing a thorough brush-in, the powder transferred to my hands while stying my hair and to my shirt as I was dressing. Also, it required 3 wet shampoos to get it out of my hair.

Dry Shampoo Sprays are better
Woops, found out I purchased this 5 years ago and its still in my bathroom. I suppose it can be good for emergencies, but I use spray can dry shampoos now. They saturate your hair better and give it volume/boost.I recall that this I would just sprinkle on the top of my head and rub in, and it’s hard to disperse it everywhere you need it. Plus I remember it leaving black splotches on my scalp, and you’d have to spend time rubbing it away.Stick with the spray dry shampoos.

works wonders on my unwashed hair!
This product lifts my completely flat unwashed hair and makes it presentable! The golden shade is really great for blending my dark roots.

HORRIBLE!
OH MY GOODNESS! I cannot vouch for any other dry shampoo types of product, but after hearing my friends rave about the concept, I decided to try this brand. I have darker hair so I thought I should buy something that wouldn't make my hair look ashy once applied. (I had read that could happen with some of the other brands that are white in color). ANYHOW, long story short--IT WAS AWFUL! I had to immediately put my hair up, and promptly washed it out as soon as I got home later. I do not have kinky/curly or nappy hair, but once this stuff was on, I don't think I could have pulled a comb through. I can't explain exactly what the product did, but it felt as though I had put tar in my hair. My hair did not feel like that before, it has never felt that way. Anyhow, If I could have given this (-)5 stars I certainly would have. I don't know if the positive reviewers on here don't mind that sensation, but I prefer the non-ratty hair feeling myself. Who knows, maybe it's just my hair, but after one use, it found its permanent home in the TRASH! :)

FANTASTIC
I recently learned the baby powder trick, but it didn't take long for me to wonder if there was something even better (especially for my dark hair).Let's put it this way. If baby powder was a strapping young cowboy and Finley hair powder was a buffalo stampede, baby powder would be thoroughly trampled by Finley hair powder, nothing left but a pile of bloody pulp and bone fragments. Also, it smells great.

Sucks big time
Waste of money!!! I've had this powder for a few years now and have only used a little bit of it because it makes my hair look and feel icky. I kept it around so long because I kept thinking that maybe I applied it wrong the last time around, but I've tried about every method and it just leaves my hair looking and feeling gross. Regular baby powder works far better and costs far less.
