Worth Every Penny!
This has a very gentle scent, almost like an aloe soap. The longer I leave the soap on my body the more moisturized I feel. Money well spent!

Works well with bumpy skin
This works really well with my skin, especially when I leave it on for the recommended 30 seconds. I wish the scent was a little stronger, but I do enjoy how it smells.

Body Barrier Soap Jel
I wish Body Barrier included instructions for their products on the bottle. I know, you’re probably saying who needs instructions for body wash??? But I didn’t know you’re supposed to leave this soap jel on for 30 seconds until rinsing until I looked at the product page. That helpful tidbit isn’t listed anywhere on the bottle. The consistency of the soap jel is definitely weird at first. Every time I use it, I feel like I’m squeezing petroleum jelly onto the washcloth. The jel doesn’t produce a lot of lather.I like the mild scent of the jel. It’s a crisp, clean, very mild scent.I do feel clean after using the soap jel, but I haven’t noticed any extra softness to my skin, even after using it consistently for about two weeks.

Almost Perfect (contains fragrance)
Body Barrier Sqq10 Moisture Mirror Squalane Oil & Coq10 Soap Jel, 13.1 fl. oz.This wash does a great job of letting your skin retain moisture. While it is not perfect (contains SLS and fragrance) it is one of the better body washes I have used. It is a jelly-like consistency and has a light pleasant fragrance much like cucumbers. This gel takes some skill getting it out of the bottle since it "slurps" out. I am lucky I have a bench in my shower so I can place my sponge down and aim the bottle to land directly on it. You could end up pouring this down the drain before you get any on your sponge. It does a fine job of cleaning and it is more moisturizing than a lot of washes. You can even use this as a bubble bath. I try to avoid SLS and fragrance but I am more apt to use scented products as a soap rather than in lotion. That is just my choice because I found that those ingredients can be drying. It does contain ceramides which I love and think that they really help repair your skin's natural barrier.IngredientsWater (Aqua) (Purified), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Ubiquinone (CoQ-10), Squalane (Plant derived), Lycine HCL (Amino Acid), Lactic Acid, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ceramide 3, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate, Sodium PCA, Citric Acid, PEG-150, Sodium Chloride, Polyquat-10, Phenoxyethanol, Cocamide MEA (Vegetable derived), Ultramarines, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Fragrance (Parfum).

Gentle on skin, no filmy soap scum when drying off
The consistency "gel" of this product takes some getting use to. It kept splurping out onto the shower floor rather than onto my poof. It took a bit more to suds up than my other soaps, but not a huge amount more. I loved the fresh clean cucumberish scent, it was not heavily perfumed and gender neutral. As I was toweling off I noticed that not only was my skin was soft, I wasn't getting that soap scum residue coming off me that often accompanies "moisturizing" body washes.I did ding a star though because after about my skin dried the rest of the way on its own I noticed two things:1. I needed to put lotion on, my skin felt just as dry as it does with my other body washes.2. I wasn't as clean and oder free as I would expect to be after a shower, the pits still had a faint "gee I should take a shower" smell. I've never had a soap do that before. I'm not the stinkiest of people, but though well maybe it's just me. So had hubby use it in the shower too. He also liked the cucumber scent, but yeah... you could still smell his deodorant slightly after toweling off.I would say this is great for sensitive skin and when you aren't that funky. But you may need to follow up some areas with something a bit stronger.

Really works!
This soap gel really works well at hydrating your skin! I tend to be pretty skeptical of product claims but this Body Barrier really does work. I don’t pretend to understand the science behind their claims but I can tell you that my skin was noticeably more hydrated and felt more moisturized from the first time I used it. Now that I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks that’s still true. It goes on very differently from any gel product I’ve used before. It comes out in more of a very thick blob and it is not at all runny like a gel. It lathers well and has a light pleasant clean scent. The scent remains after washing but it’s barely noticeable and just leaves behind almost a whiff of the clean scent. I’ve been leaving it on for the recommended 30 seconds before rinsing off. My husband even commented on how soft and great my skin feels. You really don’t need to use much at a time with this Body Barrier so I’ve barely made a dent in the bottle do it will last a long time. I’m so impressed with this product that I will definitely be ordering it again when it runs out. I have no idea how it works but it really works well so I highly recommend it!

Moisturizing!
The consistency of this shower gel is so weird! It’s a jelly so it reminded me a lot of ultrasound gel when I put it on my poof.It lathers up really nicely, a little can go a long way. The scent is very mild and it smells natural, almost like a light herbal medicinal smell. The smell won’t stay with you after your shower.I have chronically dry skin and I found this shower gel to be more moisturizing than most of the moisturizing gels I’ve tried. I’m pretty pleased with how it left my skin (soft and not itchy). I still have to apply lotion afterwards, but my skin does feel soothed.
