Folded Size = 11" x 15" Review: The National Geographic Road Atlas has been a great addition to our road trips. - It’s been especially fun letting the kids help plot our course across America, they love following along and picking out stops along the way. The maps are clear, detailed, and easy to use, and the “Adventure Edition” highlights add an extra layer of excitement with parks, scenic routes, and points of interest. It turns travel into an interactive experience instead of just staring at a GPS. Overall, it’s a great way to get kids engaged in the journey and makes road trips more memorable. Review: Just like a pre GPS road atlas - Happy with this Atlas. Large pages with much detail and up-to-date. Yes the print is small in places but that is the tradeoff for details, and it is the same as pre-GPS atlases. I found it helpful to "get the big picture" prior to a lengthy road trip...A useful supplement to your navigation planning even if you intend on using GPS as your primary aide. You will have better awareness of where you are located throughout your trip.

Good Road Atlas
Love this Road Atlas! Large enough so I can see details more clearly. Major roads are clearly marked. Spiral binding means pages won't come loose and slip out, while it is easy to fold backwards. This version has National Parks, Wildlife areas, etc. Love it!

Awesome. Much better than Rand McNally I got.
Bought along with Rand McNally - eat your way across America - road atlas. NG is so much clearer and nicer. Is bigger. Maps are more detailed. RM page breaks were brutal in places (see CT/MA/RI combined map). NG page breaks are nearly seamless since use all that page. NG version very much better. Hope to share a pick to compare. Oh, and the RM atlas came with mangled spirals. NG was fine. Box was fine. Believe RM version put in box already damaged (it is being returned). Maybe there are better RM versions. Do explore.

Nice Quality, Easy to Read
Overall, a nice quality atlas for a decent price. I bought this as a present for my grandmother and she likes it and thinks it will work well. Not quite what her old one (15+ years old) but still a nice atlas. Positives: I was impressed by how sturdy the cover and pages of this atlas are. Unlike brands that I have bought in the past, this one seems like it will hold up well and not rip out at the spiral binding. It has a heavy-duty, plastic type cover and back page, and the interior pages are also quite sturdy. In the front of the atlas, it has information covering all of the National Parks. Lots of beautiful pictures and a great summary of the park to help you know what to expect. On the maps - the printing is clear and fairly simple to read. Negatives: The only reason I can't give this atlas 5 stars is due to the size of the maps. While they do extend across two pages (opened up you would see one full state map across the two pages) for the bigger states - the maps are smaller than in my oldest (and favorite) atlas. Smaller states take up either one page or a portion of a page.

Perfect for road trips!
This map is HUGE! Way bigger than I thought it would be, but I love it! I wear readers and I’m very visual so this is the perfect map for me. I’m planning a trip across country and I love the detailed map for each state.

Easy to read adventure guide
Yall this thing is enormous. I didn't read the dimensions before I bought it. It's the size of a modest concert poster. Not too thick, though. I'm a tall guy with hands the size of a cantelope, and I think it's pretty large. That being said, it's very easy to read and has a lot of interesting tips and an engaging layout. High quality as well. I could see someone with a van or RV letting this live in the nook of their driver's seat and center console. I'll try to find a way to fit it into my SUV seat back pocket, because it is objectively cool and very useful.

Still like to see the big picture
It’s great to follow along and note changes in land around you, or plot a path. I like to keep a visual record of routes we driven so we can explore new areas. Easier than folded maps. Helps kids visualize where places are as you’re traveling.
