I absolutely LOVE this skirt! I have huge boobs, a big old ass, and a tiny waist so I have a really hard time finding skirts but me and my boyfriend are going to a Halloween party as mermaid and fisherman. I JUST got the skirt in the mail and it completely exceeds my expectations!!! It makes my butt look amazing and my waist looks so small I'm really excited to wear it! It's beyond my expectations! Looks so much better than I thought it would - perfect, simple, easy costume skirt it's super, super comfortable! I'm a collage gal I've got a budget and for the money it is honestly going to be the cutest costume I've ever worn and I get really into Halloween!!! It's really vibrant and pretty my camera I wish my camera would have picked that up better! Seriously, just buy it!

SUPER FAST SHIPPING!!I ordered this to wear next month for our annual family fun halloween night that includes all our kids and adult friends after my 2 yr old daughter insisted we be mermaids together I started looking through the adult mermaid costume options online which I felt were all too hyper-sexual for a family centered kid-friendly halloween gathering I plan to wear it in so I opted to construct my own costume using this skirt and a racerback white tank with purple seashells printed on it for a kid appropriate spin on ariel that is adorable and modest.I followed the suggestions from other reviews and opted sized up from the size I typically wear-- granted if you take the time to ACTUALLY read the size chart based on measurements its pretty clear in my case based on measurements the size chart suggested a large even though is most clothing I am a small or medium (that is what people mean by size up).IMPORTANT NOTE: I could've fit in a medium ( its very stretchy material) but for the setting that I am wearing this I am very glad I went with a large. It fits perfectly without being skin tight (not my vibe in this stage of life).ALSO: It is suuuuuuper long which for me being almost 6' is perfect!I HIGHLY recommend this skirt, its well made and look beautiful on! the tank was purchased on Amazon as well.

Im a 14/16 the XL fits perfect! I got it as part of my coustume, can be worn high waisted or not. I was worried the material would look cheep but it looks aoo good! I would order again!!

I love this skirt!! I was a little worried because I wear a size 16 pants and usually wear and 2XL so I wasn't sure how the XL was going to fit. But it fits perfectly, even though it looked small when I took it out of the package (come thru spandex !!)I also wear a size 14 shirt/dress size and I'm 5' 7"

I'm 5'8 and 145. The skirt fit me very well but it is very long! I have long legs so I got the large to be safe. I would suggest either getting a medium if you're between a m/L or get it hemmed!

EDIT: I am wearing the skirt today as part of my Halloween costume and it's great! It's the first time I've actually worn the skirt. I figured out that I can rouche the skirt a bit on my tummy area to not only conceal it a bit, but to take up some of the extra fabric that makes it so long. People are definitely getting that I'm a mermaid! I'm a 12/14 on the bottom and I got an XL and I think the fit is perfect. I wore tummy control leggings underneath and I really like the silhouette it created. All in all a great buy!I got this as part of a little mermaid costume, and it definitely fits the bill. It’s nice and shiny and flares out well at the bottom. The only issue is that it’s waaaay too long. I’m about 5 foot 6 and if I hike it up to right under my boobs I still have to wear 2ish inch heels to have it not drag on the floor entirely. I don’t want to cut the waist because it’ll distort the hip proportions and I don’t want to cut the bottom because that's what makes it look like a tail. It also doesn’t do your lower tummy area any favors, I’m definitely going to have to wear spanx under it. But all in all a good buy!

I just received this in the mail today and the only thing I can say is it is INCREDIBLY small. I ordered an XL, and I'm size 14-16 or so. The size chart says size 14 is L and size 16 is XL. I was shocked to see that the width of the skirt was a little more than my jeans folded in half. I would try to do an exchange, but the highest size available is XL, so I'm essentially stuck with a mermaid skirt that's skinnier than my "one day I'll be skinny enough to fit back into these" jeans I wore in high school.Other than the size, though, it seems like a decent product.
