Easy & Worth It
Very easy installation. Did during broad daylight and the high/low beam was very noticeable in the sunlight. At nighttime it really shines. All pun intended. Great mod! Easy!

Just not bright enough
So I bought this for a yamaha tw200 motorcycle. I'll start with the positives. It seems to be well made. I certainly had no problems with build quality and the heat sink around the base looks nicely made and somewhat heavy. The LEDs all work and are bright. As far as output, it is slightly brighter than my stock incandescent bulb however the high beam is basically no different that the low beam. The biggest negative I have is that it isnt that much brighter than stock. Not enough to warrant me leaving it in and having basically no high beam. Other than that my only other problem with it is that my headlight housing has a small tab on the inside that wouldnt let the bulb seat in the housing and I'm definitely not going to go grinding away at my headlight housing so I took a dremel and ground two of the heat sink fins down and that let the tab slide into the slot I made in the heatsink. It definitely works and considering it is mildly brighter than stock I really cant complain to much considering the only other issue I ran into was related to the bike and not the bulb. Still overall I wouldnt reccomend this bulb because it just isnt that much brighter than stock incandescent.

Feel unsafe and vulnerable; not powerful
I recently bought a Versys X300 and was on the lookout for a brighter bulb. I usually replace my headlights with either LEDs or Hella High Wattage bulbs. I had already replaced the Versys bulb with a leftover Hella Halogen bulb (80 / 100 wattage) but in anticipation of winter and running my heated suit, thought I'd get an LED bulb to reduce strain on the electrical system. I pop out the Hella bulb, pop this one in and go for a ride at dusk. The bulb is very white but the pattern, at least on my bike, was spotty and V-shaped. Turning on the high beam means the bottom (or third) LED turns on. The pattern was just not acceptable in either the shape or the throw. There was a dazzling hotspot about 20 feet in front of the bike and light scatter everywhere else. Turning on the high beam just threw more light into the empty part of the V. I rode in the dark for about 20 miles and came home and removed the bulb, requested to return it and wrote this review. I also replaced the Hella bulb and putted around the neighborhood to verify my impression of brightness: the Hella bulb throws a lot of light a long range and you can make out objects. This LED light just throws white light everywhere in an unfocused pattern. I've had LED bulbs on other bikes without problem so it could be something particular to the reflector on this bike but it didn't work for me.
