simple syphon for a 55gal drum
This works as advertised. However, it did not fit my 55gal drum properly, it's to small to screw into the bung. My other concern is long term durability. The pump mechanism is fairly thin plastic. I feel that in a number of years or with anything beyond casual use it will crack and no longer function. But, for me, it was inexpensive and will only be used in case of emergency. So, it works good enough.

Simple to set up and use> I love it for my greenhouse!
I needed a pump for the 55 gallon water tank in my greenhouse. I started out with a hand operated pump with a crank handle. The pump did not fit the opening in the barrel. I also discovered that the pump was not meant for drinking water. Since I am raising hydroponic vegetables, I needed a food grade pump. The Tera Pump meets that requirement and was much easier to set up. I love this pump!

Be careful which one you buy.
A great little pump. So efficient. Just a few pumps and the water flows beautifully. So much better than the $5 cheaper one that looks similar... The cheaper one is a piece of junk.

Just what I needed
This met my needs better than expected. Used to empty 55 gallon barrels of rain water into small buckets for watering until a spigot can be installed. Easy to use with minimal effort.

Exactly what I was looking for and does the job perfectly
I needed a way to easily draw rainwater from a barrel and this pump does the trick. What stood out to me was how surprisingly fast it does the job. The pump itself is simple enough to figure out on your own, but it does come with detailed and easy to comprehend instructions for those who need them. Since I only plan on using it occasionally (emergency situations) I'm not put off by the fact that it's not over-engineered - which is also why it's priced affordably. e.g. 100% plastic which will hopefully stand the test of time & use.

One Time Use?
I'm not mechanically inclined but when I needed to move my water barrel, I started to use this. It didn't siphon very well, so there was a lot of pumping over a lot of time. Also it didn't reach the bottom of the barrel, so I still had to use a different siphon to get those gallons out. Once it did siphon. Now I live in a humid environment. leaving it in the sun outside all day doesn't remove the residual water in the drain tube, and each of the ribs holds a little bit. I'm concerned about mold growing on this over time. I can't just put it away and rely on it for next time. Indoors where I have A/C, I've pointed a box fan at the drain tube opening for days, still some water remaining. I've also had an overhead fan running at full speed pointing to the opening on other days. I've run a hair dryer without heat, but can't do that for days. I've reached out to the company and they have initially assisted, but don't have much for me other than put it in the sun. So one time use as I see it
