I use these only for my phone and tablet. Frankly, trying to replace all my USB cables with these would be a very expensive proposition (I have lots of devices). The biggest downside of these is that inevitably I find myself somewhere that I don't have the magnetic cable installed and have to break a nail pulling the plug out of my phone or tablet so that I can charge it with a "normal" USB-C cable. Then I often walk away forgetting to put the plug back in, making the cable useless. So far I have never completely lost one of the plugs (I find an interesting piece of metal to attach it to when I have to remove it) but I'm sure it's going to happen. One of the cables I bought doesn't charge my phone (a higher-amperage device) but all the others do. The connection is easily lost, though, so you can't plug a device in and just set it anywhere, it has to be somewhere where there is no chance that the cable will be pulled to the side (pulling along the length of the cable is actually pretty secure). It can be disconnected, but still magnetically hanging on, so you pick up your device to see that it hasn't been charging at all.So, I can't quite give it five stars, but for the car, especially, the ability to plug it in with one hand is terrific.

I bought these to replace another set of magnetic charging cables I bought a week before. I was hoping that these wouldn't have the same issue as the other set, but it did. The issue was the cables would make my Ford SYNC 2 freak out and lock up after being plugged in after a few minutes. Since both caused the same issue I don't think it's either of the cables fault, just not sure why a magnetic tip cable would cause this issue. And no the magnetic tip isn't anywhere near anything that would maybe cause an issue.But unlike the first set of magnetic cables these stopped working in about a month. Lights up on the end, etc, just no power to my devices.

I bought a different brand first, and it took FOREVER to charge my galaxy phone because the cord (I guess) wasn't capable of fast-charging, but these are. Also, these keep my 2 year-old kid from destroying the charging port of his tablet. Plus, he actually plugs it back in when he's done now. Buying more soon. I normally don't do reviews but these are so underrated that I felt someone should stick up for them. Buy with confidence.

Worked great at first. The little magnets are really powerful and hang on tight. The magnets are so strong that if you even let the cord or the plug within 10ft of any dust it will pick up little bits of magnetic space junk that stops the cord from seating correctly. I dug them out with a fine wire but all that poking around wasn't good for the connectors and they eventually stopped working. If you are a scientist working in a completely dust-free cleanroom these are great. Traveling around airports and hotels, not so much.
