Pure Water Pebbles Aquarium Gravel, 5-Pound, Turquoise

This gravel is a beautiful color just as pictured, definitely would buy again. Only problem I had was it came in the box with a cut in the bag. So I had to spend time gathering it back out of the box.

So I know this is fish gravel, but when I searched the web for small faux turquoise I couldn't find anything affordable in this size.I took a chance on this and to my surprise, this gravel was perfect for faux turquoise and it helped me so much in my mission to craft with it. I glued it to glass bowls to make a pretty turquoise bowl and it is super cute, are going to buy some more and put it on a plain steer head we bought to add the look of turquoise. We don't have fish but this is definitely a great craft product.

Washed first to remove dust. Once glued in place sprayed with non glare clear.

I love this stuff. It needs a good washing before using with plants. I usually just rinse & swish it around in a pot or pail three or four times. Super good drainage just layer two inches on the bottom of the planter. So much cheaper than rocks made for planters.

Very vibrant colors. About 1/4 of the package is crushed up rocks/dust. Not easy to clean. Not meant for tanks that need to be cleaned out regularly.

These pebbles look great in my 2.5 gallon betta tank! Follow the directions and RINSE FIRST though - otherwise it will dye the water in the tank and you'll have to do a full water change.Even without rinsing (oops) my betta fish didn't seem stressed or harmed by the dye.

It is the cheapest gravel to be found on Amazon. I believe they use some kind of powder color process, causes excessive colored powder than I've ever experienced before. With other gravel I can rinse it once or twice and it's clean. With this gravel I rinsed about 10 times it was still coming out teal. Lots of smaller chunks too so if you have medium sized fishes I'd not use this gravel. There are random sharp shards of gravel. I'd suggest using a collander with big holes to rinse this correctly. I didn't have fading or anything like the other reviewers said, but my fishes are smaller fishes and plecos.

Meant to get a different color but went ahead and changed the entire scheme of the tank to match since it was so cheap. Lots of dust so make sure to clean the gravel first. 5 lbs works good for a 5.5 gallon tank.
