Flexbar is a must
I would like to share my experience with people who are suffering elbow Tendinosis. I had a severe case of elbow tendinosis that first developed while working out on weight training. This happened about 6 months ago when I felt pain in my forearm extensor muscles while working out but I decided to ignore this pain and kept working out daily. I was also playing tennis twice a week. My workout was P90x2 that involves a lot of pull ups, pushups on stability balls and ofcourse using dumbbells for biceps, triceps and shoulder exercises. When my pain started to increase and reached my elbow tendons, I stopped doing this workout and started focusing only on cardio as I thought taking a break from weight training would take care of this issue. However I continued playing tennis twice a week and I was serving with full force as usual. I started feeling even more pain in my tendons and the pain increased to such an extent that I finally decided to give up on tennis and I have not played tennis for now last 3 months. I could not grip anything and felt pain even holding my coffee cup. I researched online and saw a lot of youtube videos in an attempt to cure this problem. I did rest, icing (3-4 times per day), taking NSAID pain killers, bought elbow braces, massaged my elbow with castor oil etc etc. I did everything that you must have heard helps to get rid of this pain including stretching, strength training. After trying for long time with no results, I realized that my case was not elbow Tendonitis which is simple inflammation of the tendon but I had elbow Tendinosis which is degeration of tendon's collegen in response to chronic overuse. I even ordered a green flexbar about 3 months ago and tried to work out with that with 3 sets of 15 reps each but everytime I used that green flexbar, I was feeling a lot more pain in my tendon and I thought by doing this I am damaging my tendon even more so I stopped working out with green flexbar after just using it for 2 days. That was the biggest mistake that I did and it delayed my tendon healing even more. I didn't really know what to do and was getting desperate to get rid of this pain and get back to my workouts and playing tennis. I decided to read the reviews about red flexbar once again and after seeing such good reviews and also after watching some more youtube videos, I decided to order a red flexbar instead thinking the resistance level on red flexbar will be less and hence it may not hurt that much. This is what changed my life as after using it just for one week, my elbow pain started diminishing. I felt some pain initially even with red flexbar but this time I continued with it and I am now almost pain free. I have learned that the reason such strength exercises are able to cure even chronic tendon issues is because it helps in restoring collegen fibres in tendon and improves blood flow to tendons. I am now doing 3 sets of 15 reps each twice everyday with green flaxbar and also I do stretching and other strength eccentric exercises with dumbbells and I am almost pain free. But this flexbar is the must if you have chronic elbow tendinosis. Don't worry if it is hurting a bit because it creates inflammation in the tendon which is infact a part of healing process. Also never ever take NSAID pain killers as that delays the healing process and never do icing if you have a chronic tendon issue. Icing helps only in innitial stages of tendon inflammation but in case of chronic tendon issues i.e. if you have pain for last 3-4 months even after taking rest, then icing will be useless and infact it will also delay the healing.

Deceptive picture
I just received my bar today. When I looked at the pictures that came along with the product on Amazon, it appeared as though 3 would be coming. However, upon receipt, there is only one, and it wasn't until I reread the Amazon ad that I saw "at the bottom" of the ad where it said Thera-Band Light Flex Bar Yellow...So, to the Manufacturer and Amazon, please make sure the picture ONLY shows the product that will be received, AND state that other sized will be available.I'll use this one and see what happens. I hope to have the same results as others, and I will report positively if I do!

Surprised and pleased
I suffered from painful tennis elbow (from no tennis, alas) for over a year. No luck with PT exercises, had a beautiful 3-week relief with a cortisone injection and then the pain was back as if it had never left. I was looking for answers from google and I found the Flex Bar. I was skeptical but willing to try, since nothing else worked. I used it faithfully for 5 weeks, and it was painful every time, and I didn't feel any better. So I stopped using it -- and my elbow felt better! And it has not been painful since! I did feel a twinge one day after doing a lot of lifting and pulling with my arm, and I used the Flex Bar at night one time -- no pain at all after one use. Highly recommend this.

Spectacular Results - Best Option for Tennis / Golfers Elbow
I have been suffering with a progressive case of tennis elbow over the past couple of years brought on from a really lousy golf game (direct consequence of being a lousy player). Over the last few months and multiple swing changes my elbow actively joined the other side and I was in serious pain. Two steroid shots, elbow band and multiple bottles of Aleve, Advil, etc later it finally reached a point that my only option was to lay off or quit golf - really a great idea but logic has nothing to do with it.Being an optimistic person, I kept looking for the magic solution and at least for me this is it. I saw the information and research on the Flexbar in a physical therapy site and ordered one from Amazon. My expectations were very low and my elbow was very sore and actually black and blue from trying to get the band to work (be careful with tightness). Anyway, first day did the therapy and it was agonizing - hurt like crazy - but I found that with each rep my elbow felt better and better (though still not great). I combined the Flexbar with icing and would use it multiple times per day - really every time I saw it I would do some reps. Each time it started off hurting and got better - probably due to the stretching. After a little over one week the pain was significantly lower and nearly gone after each session with the Flexbar. I was planning on laying off golf for a month or so but decided to go out an give the elbow a try (I know - really dumb). To make a long story a little shorter I completed 18 holes with just a little discomfort and played some the next couple of days as well. I am not healed but the difference is amazing. The Flexbar worked to lower my pain in the acute phase, strengthen my forearm and elbow muscles and help protect me when I play - I use the Flexbar on the way to the course. Will update if things change but for now I am really pleased.
