TIGI Bed Head for Men Matte Separation Workable Wax, 3 Ounce

I'm a woman with short hair and I love this product! I rub a quarter sized amount between my hands and then vigorously rub it into my hair. It gives me a perfectly imperfect messy look. It doesn't get oily looking and it doesn't go limp even in the summer heat!

I was looking for an alternative solution to using hair gel so I purchased Old Spice Pomade and TIGI Bed Head in July 2016. I have Asian hair with a comb-over style cut, so I needed hair product that can give me a good hold, matte finish and doesn't flake. The Old Spice pomade didn't really do it for me as it wouldn't keep my hair in shape through out the day, then I switched to TIGI Bed Head - I've been using it almost every day until now and I'm just purchasing my second tub. TIGI Wax hits all the check-boxes for my needs:> Matte finish> No flakes> Holds through out the day, even holds during my workout sessions at the gym + running> Washes away easily after a shower + shampooAll it takes is a pinch of this stuff, rub your hands together with a little bit of water to get a nice lather going, then with your hair wet run your hands through and comb/style as necessary! Added some pictures for you guys out there to see what it looks like after my process. I definitely recommend wetting your hair a little bit before applying, especially if you're going for a sleek, matte finished look! Never going back to hair gel or pomade, this stuff is the real deal!

I haven't used product in my hair since the Aqua Net days of the '80s. Back then, hair product for men consisted of gel, mousse, or hair spray. They all had one thing in common. They provided hold by making hair stick together, and the result was that it was very difficult to style.This stuff has one large advantage. It actually coats each individual hair to make it manageable. While I find it to be somewhat messy, I am constantly amazed at how my hair does exactly what I want it to when I use it. It takes some getting used to, though, simply because I'm not used to having my hair behave exactly how I want.My interpretation of this product is that it is for styling and not necessary for hold. I use it in conjunction with hair spray to get my desired effect.I have found that when I want a lot of body, which is my normal shtick, applying when my hair is wet and then using a blow dryer produces outstanding results. I start with a very small amount (too little is better than too much), and work my hair back. Then, I comb forward as I'm blow drying, and I style once my hair is dry. If I want my hair to lie flat, like if I'm going to a formal event, I will apply when my hair is wet and then comb forward/style without using the blow dryer.I recommend giving this product more than one try. My first couple of applications were just plain wrong. I put way too much in the first time and needed to rewash my hair immediately. I still put too much in the second time, but on try number three, I think I had the amount down. It still took a couple of more applications to really master doing what I wanted to do to my hair, but after using it for a few weeks, I feel like an old pro. It takes longer for me to take out the blow dryer and plug it in than it actually takes me to style my hair, and that is a win.

I’ve used this daily for over two years now. I get frequent compliments on my hair. I haven’t found anything that works better.I went through several different waxes from Axe, Suavecito, Old Spice, and more. This is what I settled on and I never looked back. I get my hair cut at a hipster barber shop. My barber is impressed with my texture when I get in his chair, and I bring this stuff in with me for post-cut styling.I am a blond-haired man, so most product typically darkens my hair and makes it look wet. Finding a way to shape my hair without a wet or greasy look was a life-long struggle of mine until I discovered this wax.The way I use this is by applying it to my damp hair after a shower in the mornings. This stuff looks dark/wet for the first 1 to 2 hours while it dries. Once it’s dry, I run my hands through my hair and play with it a bit. At that point, it will go into any shape I want and stay functional for 12+ hours. I suspect if I had the patience to blow-dry my hair, I could skip the 1-2 hour waiting period, but who has that kind of time?I have never attempted to put this in my hair while dry.This wax doesn’t smell like anything. The texture is on the hard, gluey side. A single can will usually last me 3 months.I live in a city that’s generally quite humid and this still works well. It didn’t hold up so well when I was traveling in Indonesia but nothing would. This wax will not hold through a soccer game or gym sesh.

Too sticky....like glue. Like rubbery on hands and then in hair is is near impossible to work thru hair because of the rubbery/thick/sticky like consistency. I have used other products and was just trying this out for fun....I didn't have any fun and threw the jar out after using it twice. Stay away as there are other matte clays a thousand times better than this garbage.

J'utilise cette cire depuis des années.Cette dernière fournie une très bonne fixation avec un effet naturel. It's been three years I'm using this product almost daily , I've read the comments here where users have explained it greasy and having less hold , it's just because the application of this product differs from others .1. It works best on medium hair length , first shampoo your hair , then towel dry them ! You have to use a blow dry to make a style , blow dryers gives your hair shine and easy to settle down your hair at desired place !2. After styling your hair , take the desired amount of wax in your wax and rub it till it gets transparent!3. Apply it on your hair evenly ( 90% of us , we start from the front and it gets stuck in the front hair only )4. Use a comb or your fingers gently to get the style again , after applying the wax !Here you go , it will last till you want it toFollowing are the points to make it look good and long lasting1. Wash your hair daily2. Don't burn your hair using blow dryer3. Get a pre styling serum before blow drying4. Don't touch your hair after you have styled it5. No wax works in humidity

Habe die alte Version wirklich gefeiert! Die neue ist naja....Das Wax ist nicht mehr so workable wie die alte Version es ist viel fester und kann nicht mehr so leicht in längere Haare appliziert werden.Bei der alten Version war der Halt Klasse und man konnte es leicht in die Haare einarbeiten. Bei dem neuen Model kann man das leider nicht mehr.Das Wax hat zwar den gleichen Effekt, lässt sich in längere Haare jedoch viel zu schwer verteilen. Das führt dazu, dass man am Ende zu viel Produkt nimmt und alles eher am Kopf fest klebt statt das es locker im Haar sitzt und man evt noch nachmodelieren kann. Das Ergebnis erinnert mich eher an ein mattes Gel und nicht an ein Wax.Kleiner Tipp. Mischt man das ganze mit etwas Wasser - wirklich nur wenig - in der Hand - so wird das Wax schmieriger und lässt sich leichter auftragen bzw im Haar verteilen. (Für die die sich schon bestellt haben und das gleiche Problem wie ich haben ^^)Ansonsten, wenn man das Vorgängermodell nicht kennt noch immer ein gutes Produkt. Das alte war halt im Vergleich viel besser. Die leichte Applikation wie von Strandmatte vereint mit sehr gutem Halt nachdem man fertig aufgetragen hat. Da dies hier leider nicht mehr der Fall ist leider 2 Sterne weg :)Falls die Rezession für dich nützlich war, kannst du gerne ein "Nützlich" dalassen :-D

I know you can get much cheaper hair product. But this goes so so far!Also depending on how it is applied and how much, the effect can vary, in a predictable controlled way.Smells cool too!P.s I know, I know, I know... the red Ray BansBut just like Tigi Bed Head, I love em 😜

I'd spent a lot of years trying to find the perfect hair product and I'm now satisfied that this is the one.I've tried many different brands (I don't particularly want to name/shame them here) but think about all the different brands you'd find in a supermarket in the UK. I was never fully satisfied with any of these though.TIGI Bed Head offers a strong hold for your style but isn't greasy in the slightest. You can brush it through if you need to or run your hand through it. Your style will remain throughout the day though and you don't need to apply much.I have applied it to both damp hair and washed/dried hair and but result in great styling (Although there are subtle differences on damp or dry application). If you're looking for a hair product that won't let you down, this is certainly the one.
