Hymn Favorites for Ukulele

I'm a beginning uke player and love to play hymns. Most of these are easy enough to play for a beginner. The tougher tunes are an incentive for me to learn more chords. Some of the lyrics are not the same as in any hymnal I've ever used. I'm whiting out the lyrics with which I'm not familiar and writing in the ones I'm used to because I like to sing while I play.

Half of the songs are in key of F, if that matters. I like that the chord diagram is pictured over each measure, not just the letter.Basic chords, nothing b5 or diminished - just straight fun.

This is a great song book of hymns for the tenor uke. The melody and chord diagrams are shown too.

Simple and well done. Some of the later verses have lyrics I'm not familiar with from our hymnal.

I play with chords and am having a hard time with this book. Even though there are a few chords above some notes there is no strumming pattern and the songs sound off. I’ve had better luck finding songs on Pinterest that sound better.

Best Ukulele hymn book. The chords are easy to play even if you are a beginning Ukulele player.You can’t beat the price either.I highly recommend this book. 😀

Not sure what the deal with this book is, but here's our experience. We bought this book so that my daughter could learn to play hymns and the family could sing along. The problem is, these hymn lyrics don't often line up with traditional hymn lyrics. That is, we have several different hymnals and several different hymnal apps on our phones and the words in this book are different. This is frustrating to my daughter and us because as she plays the music and tries to get a room full of people to sing along, it she is often singing something different. When it doesn't line up with what others are singing, this is frustrating.Now, if it's just one or two people in the room I suppose they could all try to sing off of the same song sheet, but it's much more likely that everyone wants to sit down on their own chair and relax and use their own hymnal or hymn app. And that's where the problem starts.Anyway, otherwise the song selection is pretty good in this book, and the songs aren't too hard to play. So if you are just wanting to use this book all by it self, it's probably fine for you.

It arrived quickly but was not over impressed by the selection of Hymn's. Bit expensive for what you get.
