The blade itself gets 5 stars. I chopped through lots of brush and small trees and it held up very well. The problem was that the blade arrived with the tip bent. I had to work at it with a whetstone to grind down the bent tip to get it back into shape. And the customer support ignored my messages 3 times.

So let me begin by saying if I was rating on just the overall looks of knife I would rate 5 stars. But a knife has to do more than just look pretty, so after thoroughly inspecting and feeling knife, I have to say overall a pretty awesome product. I do have concerns about the handle though, it is quite big. I have pretty large hands but the handle on this knife is borderline to big for me, no way my wife or kids could use it. I am concerned that when swinging with force the handle will want to roll in my hand because of blockiness and size of handle. I just received knife so haven't had time to test my theory yet, stay tuned I do have a camping trip coming up in 2 months so I will update my review of knife after trip. I do have a problem with the leather sheath and Amazon's slow down in shipping. The leather sheath is extremely basic and won't last long up here in AK, so I will be getting a better sheath immediatly. Too big of a knife for a basic belt loop sheath, needs a sheath with strap for mouting across chest or back. As far as Amazon shipping, I live in Alaska and I used to receive my Amazon packages before posted delivery of right on day, now Amazon seems to be consistently 3-7 days late on projected delivery. I mean I can order something through REI and it is here in 2-4 days max, and Amazon is taking 7-16 days now. Not very happy about that. Hope Amazon gets their stuff together and quits treating us Alaskans like we live in Russia or something. Alaska is a part of USA, so start treating us like it.

You people have lost your everloven mind!🤯 first it's fake! Not Damascus steel at all! It's acid etched. Second it is poor in workmanship and most of all the sheath smells like someone wiped their butt on it.💩 for real! I paid 45 bucks for it and feel cheated. 🤬

I always wanted a Damascus blade as well as a Bowie, so this fit the bill on, at least, one count. It is Damascus steel, although I'm not sure if you could call it an actual Bowie knife. I suppose blade length and all would qualify, but the Bowie has a unique shape and style and I don't think this is it. That said, this is just what I'm looking for in a knife. The design is functional and a bit non-traditional. The blade is solid with no cracks or gaps. The edge is shave-your-arm-hair sharp. But what endeared me to this knife was the sheath with the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma on the snap. I was raised in Oklahoma and that surprise feature kind of sealed the deal for me.

Nice blade but received with damaged tip and beyond dull. I would make it 5 stars but can't seem to get in touch with anyone about a replacement!

This is an amazing and beautiful knife. It is strong and hold it's sharpness I use it constantly and it holds up to extreme conditions. Plus the packaging was perfect they even lived up the knife. Nothing but 5 stars thank you!

Overall a nice knife. Appropriately priced for what I got.Good things: My knife came carefully wrapped and the tip had a hard plastic cover on it , so I think they have addressed a few of the shipping issues some of the other customers have had. Also oiled to prevent any rust.Blade is nicely formed (10 inches)True damascus.Not so good things:first, the sheath doesn't quite fit. In order to slide the blade in I'll have to slice through some of the leather.second, the handle is not quite as pictured, the back end of the handle is less contoured and is quite bulky in my hand. (I'm 6'3 and have large hands) customer pictures provide a more realistic image of the handle.Thirdly, I haven't used the knife yet and feel a slight wiggle in the handle already.

Knife is solid, has a very sharp edge,and is good looking I haven’t tested it but I think it’s a great deal for 50.00 I am a tool maker by trade 38 years I know a little bit about metal and structural integrity
