We really enjoy these music lessons! The clapping along to the syllable written lyrics helps us to understand the beats of the notes perfectly! I love the teaching style! Our kiddos are learning how to read the music notes quickly and have caught onto the beats of the notes as well! We totally recommend this book!

I am teaching my 7 year old grand daughter to play the recorder. This book is perfect for her. Lots of positive points:- New tunes so the learner has to read the music and not play by ear as can happen with the use of well known nursery rhymes- Effective teaching of timing and technique- Fun to use- large print for younger learnersMy only negative comment is that the advertising doesn't make it clear that you don't get the CD mentioned in the blurb. I haven't found a way of buying it separately.

I highly recommend this recorder tutor book. It's easy to follow. It shows you how to read music, along with the various fingerings for the notes on the descant/soprano recorder. It's nice and colourful for children, and has some great tunes in it. A brilliant book.

A brilliant book for a beginner. Bought for my little girl for her 7th birthday, she loved it! The beginning of the book is very simple tunes that introduce the child to holding their recorder correctly and the different basic notes. It then progressively gets more difficult. Children can work through the book at their own pace..a great buy.

No cleaning cloth for the cleaning stick. not much use without.

A good book for learning the recorder, maybe usefull if it had some videos to accompany the book as the book is not so easy when reading music notes
