NEW WR55X10942 Control Board Motherboard for GE Refrigerator PS2364946 AP443621 WR55X10942P by PartsForLess Co- 1 Year Warranty

Bought this on a hunch that this part had failed on my 14 yr old GE profile refrigerator. The symptoms I was having was nothing electrical was working other than the interior lights. The compressor and fans were silent. If the refrigerator was "reset" by unplugging then plugging back in a few minutes later it would run for a little while then cut off again. (The temperature displays would cut off and everything would stop running)This replaced GEA part No 200D4852G010 on my unit. Was easy to replace with directions provided with this part. Within 15 minutes the part was replaced and reliably running again. This part appears to be a newer version than my old motherboard. Some components are different and simplified and it includes an additional connector that my old unit didn't have or use. Functionally equivalent though. This control board apparently is very compatible with a variety of GE models. Mine wasn't listed on compatible list but the connectors and most board layout was the same as old board so I took a chance. Everything is working great.PS- Some users have posted that their failed boards showed signs of burned electrical failure. On my old board the only issue I could find was the 2 large capacitors were bulging (not flat) on their tops.

Installed into my 10yo GE fridge, and it worked right away.

This item as replacement is half price of OEM and does the job, refrigerator compressor seems to be running less time and is quieter. Used on 12 year old GE Profile model, GSHF6K line. Installation is not difficult but be careful removing old board there are some sharp pieces and edges on these parts.

Packaged nicely, complete with instructions. Very easy to install. No complaints, fridge works great.

Never a good feeling when you're walking through your kitchen and your feet get wet! Spent a few hours troubleshooting my fridge for why it wasn't working. Noticed my compressor fan was working, but the compressor itself was not. Did some standard checks on the compressor (thanks to YouTube) and its relays and determined that was ok. Decided to take the main control board out and take a look at it (see attached picture) - problem found! Went on to Amazon and a couple other websites and Amazon had by far the best price (almost $200 cheaper than some other websites). In addition, Amazon got it to me the same day (ordered 2am Sunday, got it ~7pm Sunday). Installed the new board and the fridge is now operating properly. Took a star off the rating because the directions provided with the board did not discuss using the new ground wire and how to attach it to the board and the fridge. Luckily, I saw how to install it on a different website. Overall - happy with purchase (really happy w/Amazon delivery speed - saved a bunch of food replacement cost!)UPDATE (12/4/2019) - This board just failed after less than 2 months in service. Now I just need to figure out how to collect on the 1-year warranty.....

I installed this on a GE Profile PSHS6TGXBDSS refrigerator that was made in 2008 and the mother board was from 2007. Being that its' 2024, that's pretty good as far as electronics go these days. The instructions stated to cut white wire 2 from the J1 port and then showed an illustration pointing at slots 1 and 2. Mine did have a wire going to slot two but it wasn't white. Instructions later stated to cut some green wire too somewhere if my refrigerator had a freezer on the bottom. But my GE Profile PSHS6TGXBDSS has a vertical freezer . I just ignored those instructions and plugged it back in the same way the original mother board was plugged in. So far so good. I will come back and modify this review if things change. BTW, my refrigerator was having the following symptoms which let to me changing the mother board. The first symptoms were that the water would sometimes work and then sometimes wouldn't. It might go out for a few minutes, hours or a day or so. Then it would work, and then it wouldn't. Within 6 months the front control panel started flickering in and out, not really responding to pushing any buttons. Around that time the refrigerator would start clicking and after about 10 minutes or so would go back to normal. Unplugging or turning off the circuit breaker would typically not help, maybe make things worse but the fridge would eventually work. We'll see how it goes.

These units are great value only to find out they fail after 2 years. First board replacement bought 2019. Easy install, fixed problem, thought fast fix, great.2021 board failed, thought power surge issue, even though I bought refrigerator surge protector. Bought another board thinking fast shipping and cheap enough for fix…2023 board fails again. Thought order the same board again, looked up Amazon history. Found out I bought both boards exactly 2 years apart…what a coincidence.Decided to spend alittle more for an OEM board that is GE brand. Fridge works and also the temperature range is better than these boards. It regulates better my freezer is actually 10-15 degree colder than these 2 boards. I’ve done maintenance on temp sensor, heating units in past and with old none OEM boards the fridge did not regulate like the OEM GE boards.I have an older GE profile fridge and I’m happy that it’s life is holding up. Some retailers would say time to upgrade and I would agree to a point. My fridge is going on 18 years, compressor is solid, wiring not brittle, internals holding up well.Hope this helps someone deciding to replace their control board. Am I gonna wait another 2 years to see if this OEM board will hold up. Prob’ly not, buying two non GE boards 2 years apart is enough to conclude this product is a subscription to failure.
