Flex Tape Mini Rubberized Waterproof Patches, Clear, 3 in x 4 in, 1-Pack

Just after moving into my manufactured home we had a day of hard rain. I found the aluminum covering on the patio and carport had several holes. I bought these and they are perfect! Very easy to use, clear so it’s not noticeable. We recently had a late monsoon season here in AZ with 3 days of heavy rain. Not one area leaked! And that was after being subjected to our high summer heat! Would buy again!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: "This super strong, rubberized, waterproof tape can patch, bond, seal and repair virtually anything! It is specially formulated with a thick, flexible, rubberized backing that conforms to any shape or object. This durable adhesive tape instantly seals out water, air and moisture to create a super strong, flexible, watertight barrier." EXCEPT FOR A GARDEN HOSE. took less than 5 seconds to baloon up and pop. Very disappointed.

I really expected this to work to patch a tiny hole on my Coleman Saluspa inflatable Spa. It is much thicker and felt stickier than the patches Coleman supplied, which peeled right off with no problem and was leaking air. I let the air out of the spa, patched it, then left it 24 hours, and same with FlexTape. The FlexSeal I had used was pretty good. The Flex Tape will last. I must stress, this is a tiny hole, and I doubt there is much pressure involved to blow it up, it’s like a kiddy pool. The Spa was defective as received, the hole apparently a packing or shipping accident. Coleman hasn’t even responded. The FlexTape would be a good emergency repair, but I was surprised it didn’t fix a pin hole air leak. UPDATE: Several days later the FlexTape has actually not leaked and appears to have held, so I rate it higher than I originally thought. Get any trapped air out quickly though, you won’t be able to later.

This is not the miracle tape that the ads make it seem. I suppose for a lot of jobs it would work, but I tried using it on some mud boots that have developed a small crack. I was hoping that the flexibility would work for that application, but it really hasn't. I really cleaned the boot a lot and pressed the tape down hard, but it just wouldn't stay stuck on. I'm sure it's great for lots of uses but don't try using it on a mud boot.

I wanted to use this to cover some crimped wire that I will be using underwater and you can always count on Flex tape to stick like heck! And these

Wow. What a product. Sealed up a leak in the house gutter. Sticks to anything, even it it’s wet. Thick enough that it doesn’t rip or tear either. Great product.

Lo ocupé para reparar una rotura en la charola del refrigerador. La charola se cayó y, aunque no se rompió, se estrelló y quedó una abertura difícil de cerrar. Dividí la plaquita en el número de cintas que necesitaba y cerré la abertura. Hasta el momento la charola se siente bastante sólida y no parece que se vaya a despegar. En ese espacio solo se guardan embutidos así que no sé si bloquea líquidos o no.
