Thank the gods I found this book! It's the perfect reference book for my purpose. I am particularly grateful for the upfront list of citations and photographs. I appreciated the ancient mingling with the pop - each offering a different glimpse of Medusa. I had not heard of the Culture Work series before - I shall look to it hereafter. Thank you again. My study and future performance of Medusa will be well informed by your effort.

I am also getting a Medusa Tattoo because of the class and passages found in this book.Please buy this book if you want to learn everything about Medusa while breaking free of the stereotypical version of her. This book will show you many interpretations of Medusa, and you have to decide if she fits and what she means to you.

The bibliography is also thorough and comprehensive. I will use THE MEDUSA READER as an assigned reference text in my next collegiate/university course on mythology.

I adore this book. I've scoured the net for quotes, articles, references, anything I can find on Medusa and the Medusa Reader encompasses virtually all of it.
