As a strict vegetarian since 1989, I no longer care for the taste of meat, but some dishes just need that umami boost of flavor. This product provides it. I make really good vegetable fried rice but the flavor never quite measured up to restaurant fried rice until I added a teaspoon or two of Taste #5 Umami paste.

Very yummy
I ordered this for a recipe I wanted to try for chicken and other meats, including fish. Umami meaning savory, this paste to put on food before cooking delivers! Very delicious
