Good but could be better
Just finished installing 8’ and 4’ lights in my garage. The different length lights link up just fine and the most I have in a single string is 3 (one 8’ and two 4’). They are lighting up my 3 car garage and put out more than enough light to work anywhere within the garage at 4’ spacing. I added additional junction boxes down the middle of my garage to keep the amount of linked lights down since there are restrictions on how many can be direct linked. There are good and bad things with these lights. The good: - The lights are bright and easy to install. 1 clip for each 2’ of light is what I installed at (4 for the 8’ fixture, 2 for the 4’ fixtures. - Cannot beat the price. We will see how long they last. The bad: - They say you can hardwire them. I think they meant “hard to wire” them. The lead they give you in the box for hardwiring is +\- 6” long. The stub of the three stranded wires is only stripped 1.” Anyone who has ever done anything inside a junction box knows that is way too short to easily work with. The stranded three wires coming off the white jacket needs to be 6” long, not the 1” they give you. Fitting three caps inside a j box with 1” of cable separation between load, neutral, and ground is hard, even using Wagos. Stripping the jacket leads to damaged conductors very easily if you aren’t careful… but then that leaves you with basically no room to connect to the fixture. Your Jbox has to be within 3” of the fixture connector. - heat sink and clip. The aluminum chassis that is also the structural back of the fixture is also the LED heat sink. It gets pretty warm. Hind sight being 20/20, I would have opted to mount the brackets with some spacers to get some space between the back of the fixture and my wood joists. I’m not too worried about the heat, but more about the fixture being able to dissipate heat efficiently. - the screws. Go to your big box store and get some proper screws. The tofu pot metal garbage screws they give you strip out very easily. Save yourself some curse words and just pick up a pack of decent screws. - the diffuser. Or lack there of. Nothing like getting glared by direct exposure to LED diodes. It would be nice to have a frosted lens option, even at the cost of illumination reduction. Other thoughts: Not dimmable. Tried hooking up a dimmable Lutron Caseta smart switch. The switch instantly started buzzing and shortly thereafter, the switch went into thermal shutdown. Works fine on a dumb switch. The 4’ cables to link strings cannot link up directly, so don’t think of putting two together and having an 8’ spacing between linked lights. The connectors have to go through a light fixture.

High-Visibility Game Changer for the Workshop
I replaced my old fluorescent and flat-panel LED lights with these Barrina T8s, and the difference is night and day. I am currently in the middle of a custom kitchen cabinet build and house remodel, and the visibility these provide is exactly what I needed. Pros: - Total Coverage: They light up every corner of my shop, making it easy to spot imperfections during the final sanding stages. - Color Accuracy: The 5000K light is crisp and clean, which is essential for interior painting and ensuring my cabinet finishes are consistent. - Easy Install: The Daisy-chaining feature made it simple to organize my overhead lighting without a mess of extra wiring. If you are doing precision work like cabinetry or flooring, don't settle for "okay" lighting. These are an organized, high-visibility solution that actually makes the work easier. Highly recommended!

Good light, good value, easy install.
These are easy to install and bright. The screws are a bit cheap. Not a surprise. I used some self tapping screws. Easy change out. I only used 2 clips per light. Seem to be good. I have them in a barn and they seem to be just fine. These have 4 feet connectors. Not very far. I would order the 10 footers to go with it. You also get a mess of cords that you can hard wire with. If you are not putting them on a switch you can wire on a male end and it will plug into an extension cord. The package doesn’t come with any male fittings. Remember they are 20 bucks a light. They are good for the money. We bought another pack to finish the job and have some leftover when one goes out. They should just replace easily. Time will tell.

Great lights
Bought these in Oct of 2021, and installed them in a 40 x 60 shop, and man it’s lite up! Have recveved many great comments about the brightness!! I’m just now having to start replacing some.. one went completely out, and a few are starting to go out!! Only negative issue is the mounting clips could be better! I’ve had a few fall off when something bumps them! I have put Zip ties to secure them in place! But not keeping me from buying again, I have another set in my shopping basket now!!!!

Good bright lights.
Great shop lights. Easy to install. Everything is there. A bit pricey but ok if dark corners need illumination.

Light are failing at an alarming rate!
(UPDATE 2026) I now have the exact same problem with the replacement fixtures. Every one of them has burned out LEDs all over it. Stay away from these lights unless you want to replace them every few years, essentially renting lights. (UPDATE) I've had these light installed for 2 years now, and on every light, MANY LEDs have failed. On one light I could see 15 dark spots and other spots that were blinking. This is only with occasional daily use and on the weekends for a few hours here and there, these lights are not on all the time. I bought these lights to replace fluorescent fixtures that had lasted 10-15 years. LEDs are supposed to outlast fluorescent bulbs many times over, but that's not the case with these. I would no longer recommend that anyone buy them, and if you look through other Amazon reviews, others are seeing the same thing. (Original review) These are REALLY BRIGHT LIGHTS!! I got the 8’ 5000k lights and the color temp matches my other 5000k led bulbs. First off the lights don’t weigh much. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the metal mounting clips are too thin and weak to hold the light and that you need a zip tie or something else to hold it. That seems completely silly to me. There are 30 clips in the package, so 3 per light. That is easily enough. While installing the lights I would put one clip in the center, and then add the outer ones. Just one clip in the middle could hold the weight, no problem. With 3 there’s no way the light is going to come loose. I did bend the clips in slightly just to make sure though. I have power in several places on my ceiling because I’m replacing fluorescent fixtures, but the power came into those fixtures to one side or the other of center. These lights connect to power on the ends. Because of that, and the fact that the direct wire they give you is about 6” long, I ended up using the power wire with the standard 120v plug and toggle switch, which is 5’ long. If you cut off the plug and strip the wire back it works much better than the short direct wire they give you. The short direct wire option has some unusual colored wires in it, yellow with a green stripe (ground), brown (hot) and blue (neutral). The 5 foot power cord has standard wire colors, green (ground), white (hot) and black (neutral). Now regarding the brightness. I have blue eyes and have always been sensitive to bright lights. These lights are so bright it hurts me to look directly at them. In testing them, they were so bright that I eventually decided to put something over the light to defuse them somewhat. I tried a few things, but works the best is white contact paper from HD. The paper comes in a 18” x 20’ length for $8 bucks and has an adhesive backing like tape, only not as sticky. You can easily lay it down and peal it back up to work out the air bubbles if you get any. Afterwards the light was perfect and the intense brightness was knocked down a bit, right where I wanted it. If you look at the attached pic looking up directly at the bulb, the top third of it has the paper installed, and the rest is the bare bulb. The bright light washes out the camera, so in the pic it looks slightly yellow where the tape is. That’s only in the pic, it doesn’t really look like that in person. In the other pics with the cars, each bulb is completely covered by the contact paper, so you can see how white the light is, and it’s still plenty bright. I think they turned out perfect! I wouldn’t highly recommend these lights, especially if you have high ceilings and won’t be looking directly into them. You won’t be disappointed with the light output. One thing I would recommend is adding the lights to your Honey droplist and watching the price for a week or so. They run a lightning sale every so often and drop the price a bunch.

Bright, Durable & Game-Changing for My Garage – Perfect Lighting Solution!
After replacing my flickering fluorescent tubes with these Barrina LED shop lights, my 2-car garage now looks like a professional workshop—with zero humming or warm-up time. The 10-pack was the perfect amount to fully illuminate every corner. Why These Earn 5 Stars: ✔ Instant Daylight Clarity – 5000LM at 5000K eliminates shadows (perfect for detailing cars or DIY projects). ✔ Linkable Design – Daisy-chained 6 lights together with included connectors (saved hours of wiring). ✔ Durable & Efficient – 40W draw slashed my energy bill vs. old tubes (and the clear cover diffuses light evenly). ✔ Easy Installation – Mounted with included chains or direct screws (took 15 minutes for all 10). Real-World Testing: Garage: Covered 400 sq ft with 8 lights (2 left for spare). Workshop: Survived sawdust and vibrations from power tools. Costco Test: Compared to $50/unit brand-name lights—these deliver 90% of the quality at 1/3 the price. Perfect For: ✓ Garages/workshops ✓ Grow rooms (even light distribution) ✓ Retail/store lighting Pro Tip: Space them 4-5 feet apart for seamless coverage! 10/10 Recommend – The best value in shop lighting I’ve found.

This is a really game changer in workshop/garage lighting!!
I ordered over 32 light strip for myself and all my family followed early on because these are incredible lighting solution. 5000K is a good temperature to get great color accuracy and comfort when working. The installation couldn't be easier (small clips with simple screws, then clip on the led strip). They are insanely BRIGHT and you have the option to use regular IEC15 plug with integrated switch or you can hardwire them. The only (small) downside I may share is that the hardwire wire provided is quite short but since you can always use the regular plug and cut it to length, this not a real issue. I used them for more than 6 months now and never experienced early failure. Oh and I forgot to mention you can piggy-back up to 5 strips together so this is another easy way to get A LOT of light very quickly and simply. Pros: - Very Bright - Easy to install - Not expensive in regards to the quality - Can be bought in 4ft or 8ft strip - They will probably last a long time - not prone to early failure in case of regular on/off (compared to regular ballast/tube) - can be hooked together (up to 5 at once) Cons: - Hardwire a little bit short Watch out for coupons as these are seen regularly on sale.

These lights are great!!
bought two sets of these (10 lights each) and was so impressed, that I bought a third set a week later!... I bought them to replace the many fluorescent ones I had in my garage/workshop. I work on classic cars and so need "perfect" lighting especially when I'm doing bodywork and paint and the old style fluorescent ones just weren't cutting it anymore... I daisy chained three and four together on different circuits on the ceiling and the walls so that I could pick and choose which I needed to have on for a particular job I was doing. So each set could be easily turned on and off with the included in line switches. The connecter cables are also handy as the lights in a chain could be placed pretty much anywhere you want. Some people are complaining about the metal clips these lights come with. I had no trouble with them at all and they hold the lights very well. But even though the kit comes with three clips per light, I only installed two per light. This eliminates the need to align three clips perfectly because if you don't align all three exactly then I could see that it would cause problems as the missaligned clip would pop off easily. Also when you clip the light into the clips, don't push it in flat, but rather slip one side in first and then clip the other side in gently. this worked every time for all 30 of my lights, no issues at all. The light these give off is perfect for a work shop/garage, at 5000k it gives a nice bright white without blinding you like 6000k or 6500k tend to do. but for inside a house it might be a bit too bright if you are planning to use them somewhere where you would want more gently lighting, so for that maybe go for a 4000k. Also I am not experiencing any flickering whatsoever, the lights are instant on and perfectly steady and very comfortable to work in and many times brighter than the old fluorescents, there is no comparison. So far I'm very happy with them and think they are great value for the price. I might buy more to replace other conventional lights I have in my shed and outbuidings.
