Dual Threaded Mini Water Filtration System

The water filter is well-made and comes with a wide range of fittings, making it adaptable to various setups for connecting to different water sources. It also has an excellent flow rate, quickly filling a gallon jug. I would highly recommend this filter to family and friends, and I will definitely purchase it again in the future.

There is a lot of speculation about the current instability in the world. Weather events, power outages and civil unrest could potentially leave you in the dark or without resources. I purchased a few of these Sawyer Filtration systems just in case. Remember, a human can live almost a month without food but only a few days without water. This Sawyer filter can screw right onto the end of any 2-liter bottle full of lake water and with a squeeze of the bottle you are drinking 99.9% clean and bacteria free water... ummmm that is better than in most cities. There are a lot of things that you might want to keep handy for something unexpected, but nothing can boost your chances of long term survival like a Sawyer mini filtration system.

I especially like the size of this filter. It can be easily stashed in my backpack. I like the versatility. I can attach it to my water bladder hose. I can scoop water with the bag and squeeze out the water quickly through the filter and into a pan, bottle or cup. The water tastes good and I have peace of mind knowing that my water is safe.

The kit is packaged in a clear ziplock bag (which is not tamper-proof) and was missing several important parts, including the Sawyer filter, white faucet adapter with tube connector and a water bag cap.I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement kit about a week later and I returned the original kit with free UPS shipping.The replacement kit contained the most important part, the water filter. I tested the filter using clean tap water and, not surprisingly, the flow was steady at a reasonable rate of 1 litre in about 3 to 4 minutes. I was not about to test it unnecessarily with dirty water. No way to tell how well the filter works until I get into a situation where I need to drink filtered bacteria water and get some guinea pig to drink the same unfiltered bacteria water (lol). The filter came with a white flip top to cover the outflow. Some of the ad photos show a push-pull on-off top which would have been nicer.Unfortunately, the replacement kit was still missing the white faucet adapter with tube connector. See the attached screenshot showing the missing part circled in red. When I made the original purchase, this was the ad photo of the kit. There is second photo of the white faucet adapter with tube connector filtering tap water into a jug. This tube connector makes it easier for a person to direct the flow of filtered water from a faucet.What I received was a small black adapter with a blue rubber seal (see photo). I guess you can use this black adapter and force it over a tap opening. However, once you screw in the filter, it has no flexibility and extends so far down that is difficult to collect the filtered water if your sink is not very deep.I'm not too happy that both kits did not contain the advertised white faucet adapter with tube connector.After I received the replacement kit, I finally noticed that the invoice stated "(Package May Vary)". These words were not in the original Amazon description. And now, Amazon has removed most of the photos showing the white faucet adapter with connector tube.I'm not going to bother with trying to get another replacement kit. I could always buy a plastic hose to insert between the black faucet adapter and the water filter. The most important part for me is the water filter.Lastly, the cap for the water bag was also missing in the replacement kit. So I'm just going to use an old soda bottle cap to seal the water bag.This was my first time dealing with a replacement from Amazon and the process was not too difficult once I figured out how to telephone Amazon. Unfortunately, I have to use a package receiving service to pick up the packages which incurs a fee and I had to drive to a UPS Store across the border to return the original kit.

Used this on a 40mi round trip hike. Used it on a water bottle and Used the included bag for extra water storage. It worked really well, had no issues.

This filter is overall a good one. My only issue is that I get a slight leak between my CNoc bladder and the intake end of the unit, requiring an extra gasket.The filter is compact, self-explanatory with a giant arrow showing direction of flow, and arrived timely with all accessories pictured at the time of purchase. The accessories alone are reason to go with a Sawyer, as it makes the unit versatile and adaptable to any 28mm screw-top bottle.

Bought this as my second Sawyer filter, preparing to go to Patagonia for a couple months. I wanted the dual threaded to be able to screw in to other 28mm standard receptacles. Most notably my Platypus soft bottles. Having the 1/4" nipple on both ends makes it easy to adapt to inline use. Also wanted the faucet adapter to be able to fill quickly when I'm working with tap water. Various adapters included make it very versatile. The hose fitting that came with my order wasn't the one shown in the listing, but I contacted Sawyer support and they sent me the one shown in the listing. No charge, super nice.

It’s a water filter. No complaints.
