The Norton Anthology of Latino Literature

I have owned various Norton Anthologies, to include two volumes for British Literature and one for American Literature. Although these are great, this Anthology on Latino Literature surpasses them in both breadth and diversity of Literature. The introductions prior to literary pieces are fantastic mini-history lessons that completes my historical perspectives. In other words, this Anthology brings to life that Hispanics have been in the Americas (to include North) and publishing literature about their experiences, over 130 years prior to the Mayflower.

Absolutely dissapointed, it is NOT what it seems acording to the picture. It has to much writing on it as well as to many highlights. It is absolutely not worth the amount of money I paid for it. I do not understand why you would send something that is not what is promoted on the picture. I would return it immediately if I didn't need it for a class and unable to find somewhere else. I put one star cuz it doesn't let me put zero.

The book pages were all right, there wasn't any highlighting or written stuff in the book,,,but...the book cover was missing. The cover that I saw online is not the one seen in reality, you will get a book that looks almost like an "old bible" and the sticker on the front is completely torn off from the front. Yes, the book pages are fine just not the exterior. In all honesty, when I received the package I did not expect to recheck if I got the right book, I would give this book 3 1/2 stars. Good condition but not what you may expect

The stories and poems span across both ends of first gen latinx writers. One day I will finish reading the anthology.

I ordered this book for school it was in great condition and I really enjoyed reading many of these stories.

Being an advocate for Latin American literature, this is a must. You are never too old to stop learning!

As always Norton gives great background and biographical information that make reading of these pieces more interesting and provide a context for understanding them. I was a little surprised that some really great stories were omitted, but then they are more accessible elsewhere.

Bought a used version of it. Hardcover. And it came like it were brand new! Nice
