Fast shipping, easy install, works as well as OEM. GOOD VALUE!
The media could not be loaded. Local auto parts store wanted $96 for a cheapy & 149 for a dorman.Dealer told me it would cost $900 for the part and labor! Be cause they said they had to take the entire dash off. My 2000 Silverado z/x with 33,000 miles started shifting into 4 high or low for no reason and the 2wd light had hole burned thru plastic. I bought this received it in a day tool literally no tools and 5 minutes to change! Fixed service 4wd light and no more shifting issues I read some reviews about the the lights leaking out of side or very dim or different colors, None of this was true for me! Exactly as the original factory one . 2wd light is plenty bright and auto shines a light shade of blue until you use it then it is orange! Buy this if your are having issues with yours. It is fine! No issues! Only reason I can see the orange light leaking out of side of bracket is that the left side of pin connector bracket doesn't want to snap on correctly and would cause some leaking of the glow of light. Install new part by putting left side in first and make sure both clips on each side or secured and locked in! That solve light glow leak. Good value, part is just as good just 50 or 60 dollars cheaper! Install is literally 5 minutes and no tools necessary!

Fixed my issue of 4WD hi not engaging, and the 2WD hi light not illuminating.
The media could not be loaded. 1997 K2500 Suburban- Had the issue where the 4WD Hi indicator light would only blink, would not turn solid, and I could not tell if 4WD Hi was engaging. 4WD low light worked (blinked when switch and then held solid) and I was able to hear the hubs engage, so it was working. My 2WD hi light would not always illuminate, but it would engage switching from 4WD low to 2WD hi. The previous owner had replaced the 4WD actuator, but this hadn't fixed the issue.I figured replacing the switch would be the cheapest and simplest place to start to get my 4WD hi working. Installation was super easy- the toughest part was getting the electrical connector clip off of the old switch that had 22 years of truck crust built up. No need to undo the entire dash- just search YouTube on how to do this. After popping the new switch in, all 3 indicator lights worked perfectly and engaged the corresponding drive selection- 2WD hi, 4WD hi, and 4WD low all work and switch properly now.I can attest to other reviews saying that the new LED switch lights are quite bright and are now the brightest lights on the dash, but I'm so short that the steering wheel blocks them from view while driving. If your switch lights are on the fritz, or a drive doesn't seem to be engaging, I would recommend this as the first thing to replace. If this doesn't do it, then move on to replacing the actuator.

It works. The lights are dimmer than the original.
2004 Tahoe Z71. Perfect match with the AWD button and everything. Had the Service 4WD come on and until today wasn't too much of a problem because the old switch would show 2WD (or no lights and it acted like 2WD). Today the old switch started showing 4 Lo and the Tahoe was driving strange. In 1st gear at low speeds the tach would fluctuate by about 500 rpm, soon as it got to second gear everything seemed ok. The front wheels never bound up turning so I don't think it was actually in 4 Lo, but it was strange.Anyway, the first thing I tried was cleaning the ground wires on the frame under the driver's door. That seemed to work the first day, but Service 4WD came back on. I replaced the switch (very easy like others have said). Everything is working great now.Only problem for me is the lights are much dimmer than the original. I can barely tell what the switch is in. I will update the review if anything changes.

FIXED
This was perfect after years of spitting up transfer case errors then finally the lights went out and I had no selection .... replace this inexpensive switch and all is better very nice apparently this is a common defect on GM&CHEV of this era

Didn’t work
Pulled the old unit out and plugged this one in, barely illuminated and didn’t work properly. Pulled it out and reinstalled the OE unit.

Like OEM
The switch on my '06 Sileverado failed and I got this one because the dealers wanted more for a switch than the would probably offer me on a trade in for the truck.Easy to install, and works very well. Been using it for 2 years now so I am sure it reliable too.
