Incredibly useful, use them way more than expected.
I use these mainly for marking seam allowance on sewing and pattern pieces that need embroidery before being sewn. I didn't expect to need two, but now I kind of want another two so I can keep one on the drafting table, one in the embroidery kit, one in the sewing kit and one just near my embroidery tracing stuff. Might well order two more!
