Soler & Palau are my go to for in duct fans.
My only complaint with this is that the air flow is not as strong as other models in this size. It does work very well and runs very quiet because of the good build quality. I just would have liked the air flow to be more than it is.

Doesn't get better
I have been looking a long time for a low speed 4 inch fan, and this is by far the best I have found at a reasonable cost. Very quiet, simple hook-up. It would be very nice to get more specs before ordering-I had to test it to see how many watts it actually uses. I guess "Energy Star" is all you are supposed to know.I also ordered a Tamarack speed control from Amazon and it was cheaper than the Tamtech.com website, but neither place gives any energy info on this either.I even called, but couldn't locate any knowledgeable people. It gives you great confidence when even the makers don't want to give information. The control works, but is such a small difference in energy savings it's not worth the cost (3 watts, whoppee!)2 stars on the Tamarack.

pretty good.. lasts about 2 1/2 years
I replaced this model fan in my house in June 2013. The house was 2 1/2 years old. The fan installed in 2013 is making noise like the previous did before it went out. This is being used as a crawl space vent, so it runs 24/7. The space is consistently cool and never gets over 80 F, so it's not overheating. The space has good ventilation, so back pressure should not be an issue. I really would like to get more than 2 1/2 years from these, but they are extremely quiet until they start to go out and the price is not bad. So far they are hitting me at about $4.60 per month in cost + electricity.

Well worth the money!
This is a very well built fan, the construction is super solid. The fan is well balanced and moves the air very nice and also very quiet. You will need your own power cord and wire it yourself but that no big deal. I have 1 other fan by another manufacturer and I can be close (2 feet) to this fan running but all I hear is the other fan that is 7 feet away. You get what you pay for and this is just super!

The one behind the cabinet is to loud towatch TV comfortably in the family room
The TD-100 is only suitable for installation in an already noisy area or in a sound proof area (like a well insulated attic). According to the company the TD-100 is 1.1 SONES. In addition, note that the high and low CFMs in the description are not errors. For all practical purposes the low and high settings are identical. The solution to both these problems appear to be the TD-100xs model. I unfortunately have two of these in our family room. I put one in an attic above a ceiling with 12.5 inches of foam insulation and had to mount one behind a cabinet because of space considerations. The noise from the one in the attic is muffled by the foam. The one behind the cabinet is to loud to watch TV comfortably in the family room. I will try one of the TD100xs models to see if it is tolerable. The TD100-xs is reported to be 0.6 SONES. A word of caution, the TD100-x model is reported to be 1.7 SONES. I got the noise numbers from a very helpful guy at SP USA named Jerry. If you have any questions, you should give them a call before purchasing.

bathroom vent fans
240cfs was an excellent figure to begin with combined with a turbo design makes it highly suitable for bathroom vents.since the design of the product is like a pregnant woman, the installation was tricky as to cut 4" hole inside bathroomand 6" outside to mount on a horizontal brace ,finish wiring and cover up outside hole. The guide provided two speeds- high and low,the low speed is useless.,wired straight with high speed. The colour code on the ac line showed brown which is european while color code black is USA.The fan is not completely silent but very lownoise floor may even forget to turn off after use.would recommend to anyone with a small bathroom under 100 sf.

Nice and quiet
Very nice job venting a small closet and is plugged into a thermostat. No need for larger, more expensive fans. Easy to wire. Well constructed. Simple design. Using a short charcoal filter on the incoming side making it a compact venting system.

Great solution to a noisey bathroom fan!
This is a great little unit. I had the usual noisy, inefficient, annoying fan in my bathroom. I simply removed the fan from inside the housing, leaving the original housing and grill in place, and mounted this fan remotely in the attic in the original 4" exhaust duct. I wired this unit back to the power in the original housing. It works like a charm and all I can hear is the air flow through the system.
