AuralexISO-Tone Turntable Isolation Platform

Unit is basically 2-ply with a soft packing foam base with a harder, carpeted board on top if it. The model I got supports a heavy Technics SL1200 MK2 deck with no compression of layers being seen. Deck fits squarely on top of the isolation platform, no other setup is required. Sound quality did basically stay the same and I look at this as insurance against a random dog, kid, wife stomp, slam, drop incident. My player is in a corner of a low traffic area so there wasn't a large issue prior to purchasing. Player has been resting solidly on top of this isolation platform since purchase, no negative aspects, and no issues seen as a result of adding it to my setup. No skips noticed since being put in service - unknown if I would have had any issues without it. If it beeped like a UPS when a fault was detected I'd know for sure... Safe purchase that does bring piece of mind you have some vibration isolation protection in place.

I'm the music lover in my family and my stereo setup is confined to my pretty small office. The speakers are just a foot away from the turntable and, before, I got massive distortion any time I tried to crank it up. I've been looking at isolation platforms for a while and settled on this one based on the reviews here. Got a chance to set it up and test it out this morning. Put on Pearl Jam's Ten and turned it up so loud that the sound filled my office completely, with zero distortion. In a word, it was stunning. My wife could hear the music across the house. Absolutely the best music-related purchase I've made in a long time.

Let me start by saying that I wasn't specifically looking for the sound improvements that this would bring to our turntable, I was looking for a platform to ensure that the turntable components would be kept together, and the turntable feet would not scratch or mar the cabinet. But to get the sound improvements along with everything I was looking for is even better!My husband is the audiophile, and he has a Music Hall MMF 7. You audiophiles that are familiar with this turntable know that the belt drive is a separate component, and if you lift up the turntable to clean underneath it (which is where I come in), you've basically taken the whole thing apart. Add to that the feet have spikes, and if you don't have the discs underneath the feet, the spikes will poke holes in the surface it's resting on. That's where this isolation platform provided the perfect solution. It's the exact size for the turntable, it's sturdy and looks good, and it keeps all the components together. Now as for the sound improvements, my husband can speak to that - I don't have the discerning ear my husband has!It looks like this is a relatively new product, at least on Amazon. Other choices were not specifically sized for a turntable, so I'm glad to find this rather than having to buy something else and cut it to fit.

I give four stars only because I believe that five star ratings are for other worldly quality and results. That being said. It appears as though you get a well made, quality product that's not just a chunk wood or chunk of foam that someone prices through the roof. This platform is multi layered, good looking and assembled straight and well. My sound system positioning is less than "optimal" but we all have spaces to work with to the best of our abilities. Receiver and turntable are on the middle shelf an a set of HPM-100's on the base shelf. This worked well for quite a while. I just picked up a new Audio Technica LP3 which is much more sensitive that the previous entry level TT. Now I started getting lots of low frequency acoustic feedback at half volume which is usually my "jamming it level". Determined the issue and looked around, found this product and ordered one. Fantastic results. No feedback issues at a volume level loud enough that I really didn't even want it to be any louder. Is there something better out there? Maybe. Is there something that works as well cheaper? Maybe. Hence the four stars instead of five. For someone who just wants something that fixes the issue and doesn't mind paying a little bit without a ton of messing around experimenting, this is a wonderful product. Well Done!

This isolation platform is reasonably priced compared to others from name brands. The size is perfect for my Rega Planar 3. It's not particularly attractive, but the turntable covers up the design on the top surface and if you don't like the badge on the front you can turn the platform around so it faces the back.Other purchasers report an improvement in sound quality when using this platform under their table. I'm not hearing any difference. Maybe there's less ambient vibration in my listening environment. Maybe the surface my table is on is already quite stable and vibration-free. Or maybe my hearing is less sensitive than others.But I'm willing to keep it because of the relatively low price (compared to other isolation platforms), the theoretical benefits of an isolation platform and the fact that so many others report improved sound quality.But I don't enthusiastically recommend it. Rather, I would say: It can't hurt, it's not very expensive, and other people like it, so why not try one if you can afford it?

Size perfect sturdy with soft lining smart looking addition and improved sound stage

I have been having trouble isolating my turntable since I bought it a year ago. I have hardwood floors so every step close to the cabinet would make the woofers go nuts, same with the sub...it's all gone now. Super Happy!!!

I live near a railroad trestle and rapid transit nearby. Sometimes you could feel the vibrations on the floor but my turntable needle never skips.

It solved the vibration due to wooden floor and other small noises. The LP sound is much more purer

I have a turntable at work on my desk, and this does a great job of illuminating any vibrations that come from me typing. I’m only giving it four stars because the graphic on it is super-ugly (...however my turntable covers it completely, so I’ll give it five symbolic stars, for functionality.)
