SOHO II Padded Management Office Chair - Mid Back Desk Chair with Arm Rest, Swivel & Cushion Availability, Made of Poly-Cotton Fabric, Charcoal Fabric, Computer Chair

I have been looking for a nicer office chair for some time. I had looked at the big box office supply stores (and other places as well), and was not able to find a chair that was both comfortable and well built. I was also unwilling to spend $3k on a Herman Miller office chair. Enter the SOHO Mid Century Modern Soft Pad Management chair. A virtual replica of the Eames Soft Pad chair at almost 1/10 the price? This HAD to be too good to be true. The quality and comfort can’t be there, right? WRONG. This chair is VERY well built. No wobbles, no odd noises, no bad smell or off-gassing. The design is true to the Eames chair (except for the tension for the recline, which I think is better on the SOHO). The seating surface is suspended between two solid frame rails; even if the padding breaks down over time you won’t find yourself sitting on hard plastic, but rather suspended on a hammock of sturdy cloth that still gives and supports. The chair came very well packaged, and was easy to assemble. Out of curiosity, I called the technical support line to see if the arms were required for structural integrity; according to the customer representative I spoke with, they aren’t. I installed them anyway, but good to know it is optional. Speaking of their support staff - I actually reached a HUMAN BEING; no menus or IVRs. Literally called a number and got a person. The support staff is super nice as well. Overall I have zero regrets purchasing this chair. It is better than any office chairs in the box stores that I sat in that were the same price point, and the comfort and style is on-par with the Eames chair that it payed homage to. One note - comfort is a very personal and subjective matter; this chair may not work for everyone (much like any other chair). For me, I decided it was worth trying out sight unseen (or un-sat) - I do NOT regret it whatsoever. Thanks to the folks at Laura Davidson furniture for a great product at a good price!

Such a comfortable chair for long work sessions, with a great design. It looks even better in person. Had a minor issue that they resolved quickly. They support their products and their customer service was very responsive, some of the best I've seen on Amazon. Can not recommend enough.

I absolutely LOVE this chair. The only reason i didn't give this chair a 5 is because this chair will not work for everyone plus, the arms are not adjustable and sit a little too low in my opinion. I'm 5'3 and 180 lbs, so this chair fits perfectly for me. For anyone considered "taller" I wouldn't recommend... I would probably suggest for up to 5'6 in height. But since this chair is for me, I love how comfortable it is on my back and while sitting in it. There is a lot of back support and the seat itself is cushioned which helps while sitting for long hours. Like I mentioned before, the arms sit a little too low so I can't rest my elbows on them which can be annoying sometimes but besides that, the chair also looks very nice in terms of "style" for your home.

Wanted a replacement for my Eames soft pad chair — could not match the color I wanted so took a complete gamble on this. This is a good looking, comfortable chair — incredible value for the price. I also like that this chair doesn’t have the metal bar running across the back (that the Eames chair has) so I actually think this chair looks less clunky and more elegant than the Eames chair. Also I had a question and the customer service got back immediately. As other reviews mentioned, amazingly, you are put in touch with a real person who is very helpful and follows up.

My small business was in need of upgrading from hand-me-down and big box retail chairs and while searching the inter-webs I stumbled upon this gem. I was skeptical because generally speaking stylish chairs aren't comfortable and comfortable chairs aren't stylish. I thought I'd take a gamble and order one chair to test out myself and the rest of the staff before I committed to a large order. Turns out, I didn't need to test it. The chair arrived much sooner than expected. The company's email states it could be up to a week before I received it, however it was delivered in 3 business days. (score!) Additionally, it was packaged well but not over packaged. It was super simple to put together (3 pieces) and required no tools. Don't let assembly be a hurtle for you if your looking to purchase. From the time I opened the box to it being ready to sit in was less than 2 minutes. (no crazy IKEA assembly line !!) Finally, the quality of the chair surpassed my original expectations by a long shot. The components feel like a $500+ chair from a boutique store. The locking/unlocking mechanism is smooth and crisp. The lift and lowering mechanism is smooth and doesn't start or stop suddenly (like it does with cheap chairs). The leather material firm and sleek (added bonus, doesn't show finger prints) I don't normally write reviews, but had to pay this one forward. Excellent purchase. If you are apart of a growing business and have a need for quality and stylish chairs, Laura Davidson should be on your short list. Bang! you've found it!
