Worked well, kept cast completely dry with no leakage. More than long enough for a forearm cast. Fortunately I only had to use for 2 weeks and can (hopefully) toss it in a drawer never to be needed again, but seemed to be made of quality puncture-resistant material.A little challenging to get on/off solo, but inevitable problem since it needs to be fairly tight to seal water out. My method was to slide the cast cover up/down a plastic ruler I kept on one side of the cast (sort of like a shoe horn) and gently stretch/pull up the other side. But I'd suggest asking someone for help if possible.

I bought one of these when I broke my hand; I liked it so much that I saved it and loaned it to a friend who broke her wrist. When my 13 year old grandson broke his hand, I sent him one in a child’s size. He wore it for swimming. This cover goes on really easily and keeps the cast completely dry. Excellent product!

My husband and I were both scheduled for hand surgery so I knew we would need something to protect our wounds, and I am glad I chose this product. While it is a little more expensive than some others offered here it was money well spent. It is easy to put on over splints and casts but it does require that someone other than the wearer help. On an adult arm the opening fits snuggly around the upper arm sealing out any water while bathing or showering, although we have not tested it by completely immersing it in a tub or pool. The material is sturdy so no fear of ripping or accidently poking holes in the sleeve as long as reasonable precautions are taken. It does seem to collect a little dampness from condensation inside, so I turn it inside out and hang it on a towel rack between uses. I highly recommend this product.

With a broken arm I needed some waterproof cover for my hand to almost elbow cast. I tried a clear plastic cover that came in a package of 3. I quickly discovered that while waterproof the were flimsy and I suspected that each one would not last long given that the cast will remain on for at least 6 weeks .I returned then in favor of this cover.This cover is very durable, quite waterproof, and relatively easy to get on and off. It was a slight bit of a struggle to get it over my hand/wrist area where the cast is a bit larger. After that it easily slid on and created a firm seal above the cast and just below the elbow.My only concern with the coverIs that the thumb portion needs to be a bit longer to fully accept the thumb. This might not be worth giving the cover 4 stars but I did want to call attention to what I thought, was for me, a shortcoming .As I previously stated the cover is great and I highly recommend it for any lower arm injury cast or dressing that needs to remain dry during bathing or showering

I never really leave reviews but wanted to for this particular item. This cast cover was purchased for our beach trip due to an child unfortunately breaking his arm a week prior to leaving. The cover was durable and withstood a full week of vacation. He used it all day in the ocean and pools. No water or sand got in. He was not careful either he enjoyed bogey boarding, swimming, and playing in the sand just like he normally would without a cast. It exceeded our expectations and truly saved our trip! I HIGHLY recommend! We had a cheaper less durable one for showers and it would not have held up. I hope this review helps someone on the fence like I was because it is truly an awesome product! ** Two tips I would suggest- Measure the arm and use the size chart. Lastly we learned the arm will sweat inside of the cast cover when used for hours in the sun so we had him take a break each hour or so for a few minutes to let air circulate and we would ensure no condensation was on the inside of the cast cover **

The cast cover was not suitable for me. My cast is bulky, and the small opening of the cover would not allow me to put my hand into the cover, even after folding the top down as instructed. Having a broken wrist made it impossible for me to wiggle my hand into the small, tight opening of the cast cover. :- (

Works great in the shower. 30 mins in the pool and his cast was soaked. My son showers daily and his cast never got wet. But he spent 30 mins in the pool and his cast has to be replaced tomorrow. I read reviews saying it works well in the pool so after 3 weeks of wearing it in the shower we thought we’d try. Definitely worth buying if you just need to keep your cast dry for showering but absolutely not worth it for the pool!

More comfortable than the ones the doctor gave me, this keeps me perfectly dry both swimming and in the shower. Easy to put on by myself and squeeze out the extra air. Surprisingly, it doesn't feel like it's cutting off my circulation (like the ones from the doctor) but still keeps out the water perfectly.
