I recently picked up an electric fireplace that had a major red flag: the ground pin was completely cut off. For a 2,000W appliance, that’s a massive safety hazard I wasn't willing to ignore. I bought this rubber plug to fix the issue. The plug itself feels incredibly rugged. The rubber housing provides a great grip and feels like it can handle heavy use. It’s a professional-grade replacement that gives me way more peace of mind than the damaged original. Installation was smooth and straightforward, though be warned: it doesn't come with instructions. If you aren't an electrician, you’ll want to look up the Leviton wiring PDF like I did. To save you a search, the Green Wire goes to the Green Screw, the White Wire goes to the Silver Screw, and the Black Wire goes to the Brass Screw. I used a Robertson and a flat-head screwdriver to get everything tightened down. Everything fit perfectly, and the connection feels rock-solid. If you need to repair a heavy-duty cord or add a ground back to a high-wattage appliance, this is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Bought this to replace the plug on my dehumidifier. Worked great! Hubby installed it himself. Very sturdy and tough looking.
