Perfect for hams - save yourself the $$$!
I bought a $100 DXE footswitch (all metal, which was nice) but realized I could get away with something much cheaper, because you're not paying for anything more than name brand and maybe the metal case at that point - it's a simple open or closed circuit, that's it. Enter this footswitch (which has an interesting name brand, HQRP, I guess they're low power?!) and it works absolutely perfectly. I've paired this with a Yaesu FT-710 and my Heil Pro 7 headset - plug the footswitch into the adapter for your radio and set the selector switch to the "PS. 10" setting, which I guess is "normally open". Would be nice if that was labeled, but it takes all of a few seconds to figure out. It isn't metal, but it does feel substantial and has a nice weight to it. I'm operating in my carpeted office so I have no concerns about the pedal moving, and I'm not mashing it like a musician might. The cable is 5 feet long and is a nice, thick cable with a soft-touch rubber coating - it doesn't tangle or curl on itself (doesn't have "memory") which is what one would expect from instrument cables. The only possible improvement I can think of is if it featured another 1/4" jack on the pedal itself, which would allow someone to swap out the cables for maybe a guitar amplifier cable with a 90 degree head or maybe a cable that is longer, if needed. But as-is, this product is perfect and I'm very happy to have saved $80+ in purchasing this and returning the other one. 73!

Good "fill" pedal on the SR-19 Alesis drum machine
I use this as a the "Fill" pedal on my drum machine as it was recommended for use with the Alesis SR-18, so it's "tapped" 6-8 times per song. I've only had it for a week or two so how long it will last is yet to be seen. Definitely seems rugged enough. So far, it's worked 100% of the time. Works instantaneously with no delay and has a good touch response when tapped so I know it is engaged. I purchased this one to evaluate as I need another pedal for the "start/stop" function. It's passed with flying colors, so I'll be buying another.

Works well but generates noise.
This is a light weight foot switch and works fairly well. For my HF ham radio, it generates noise on TX line of my ICOM of I depress it and my foot isn't in the right spot. This happens when on SSB and no audio output. I will keep this for backup and utilize a heavier duty foot switch without a micro switch.

Ham Radio Foot Switch!
I love that this foot switch has a switch to choose between normally open and normally closed. The NO/NC switch made it easy to interface with my radio. This is a great footswitch for hams due to its momentary nature. I saw mixed reviews on the quality but this has some nice weight to it and stays put on my floor. Maybe rock stars that stomp on their pedals have issues but this is a nice metal foot switch that is sturdy for many years of service for me.

Works great for ham radio!
I purchased this to pair with a Heil microphone instead of buying their brand footswitch. It works well! It is sturdy, quiet, heavy enough to not move around on you but easy enough to move if you need to. Last but not least, it is a great value!

Works well with usb/midi and vintage keyboards, drum machine, and my RC-1 boss loop station.
I have owned one of these pedals since 5 months ago and it works great with my arturia controllers, a couple of vintage yamaha keyboards I own, an alesis sr-16 drum machine, and yes, believe it or not, my RC-1 Boss Loop Station. I read everywhere that nothing is compatible with a boss loop station, but alas, I plugged this footswitch to the looper and now I can stop and undo/erase loops as needed with one click. No need to buy the expensive (and huge) Boss footswitch pedals. I am here to get 2 more right now.

Could be better.
Not a bad switch per se. I used it for my recording studio system for a talkback mic. Basically, when I step on the pedal, it opens up the circuit for me to talk through the microphone at the other artists in the room. Pretty basic. However, If I don't quite put my foot square on the pedal and it's maybe off to one side, it doesn't activate. I notice it more on the left side. If I am off to the right side, off-center, it's fine. But if I'm off to the left side, off-center, it won't activate. The pedal should activate no matter if I'm in the center, or just a bit off. As long as I press down on the pedal. With that said, for what I use it for, it's fine. I'll keep it. If it was a sustain pedal on a keyboard, I'd send it back.
