I have RA and was looking for something to help me hold pens and pencils again with less pain. I was worried that it would be awkward to use, but it holds pens firmly in place within the gripper itself making it easy to adjust to using it. Also relieved that inserting pens/pencils into it is not too difficult to do.If you need something to help you adjust how you hold writing utensils, I suggest giving this a try. The silicone is soft to the touch, which makes it gentle on hands, and yet firm enough to allow plenty of control with little force.

I really like how large it is.. It's comfortable and helps my fingers from going numb. My only disappointment was its made to seem there are two in a package not one. Am upset by this because I really needed two. But I'll buy another in the future.

I bought this to let me hold a pen while my arm and hand were immobilized in a cast. It worked brilliantly. It's easy to get a pen into it (no painful squeezing required) and I could jam the soft egg into the angle of my hand well enough to be able to write. I tried several other adaptive tools and none of them worked - but this egg worked so well that I bought a few extras to be sure I had them at work and at home. A very well designed, helpful tool.

It’s a silicone egg (just one, not two—the main product image is misleading) with a flat rectangular slot in the middle to hold anything from forks to pencils. The slot shape is narrow enough to keep most things secure, but it’s still not the best for writing or drawing tools. I wish it were. It is comfortable to hold, though.

I was so excited to find this Fabulous Egg !! I was looking for a soft, tubular something to insert my hooks into. I have arthritis and neuropathy in my right hand making it painful to hold my hooks without a lot of pain and cramping.This wonderful product takes away almost all of that discomfort. It is soft to the touch and is all one piece.... insert your hook into the opening.... push it in...thats it.......the hook, of course comes out of the smaller end. I thought it would take awhile to get used to it, but I inserted my G hook......picked up my project and off I went..... faster than before (which was slow because of pain). The bonus is the openings in both ends of the egg lets you insert many other tools and utensils.This egg is a life changer for me !!!!! PS I use the knife grip.... It should work with the pencil grip.

Not impressed for the money I spent to received something used and ineffective.

I have arthritis my thumb joint. Too large for my hands and I have large hands for a woman. For instance, I wear men’s large gloves. The other problem is that the taper is too abrupt and cause pain in my joint.I did love the cushioning effect of the design. It just didn’t ok for me.

My mother loves these! Her arthritis is so bad she'd given up writing anything more than a sentence or two. She can now hold a pen easly.
