this cheap lamp looks more like a quality 10k, I am pleased

Couldn't see any difference between this 12 dollar bulb and the 70 dollar bulb I purchased previously from a big name supplier . Great deal

It works. It is what it says and it's more than $30 than the next best price I could find.

Not even close to a 14k color.. It's yellow like a 10k..company is putting different color temperature on all the same bulbs.. They fire up and run but offer no fluorescence whatsoever. I gave 2 stars just because it's a bulb that fires up and it's cheap but it's shady of the company to toss different color temperatures on the same bulb.. Fwiw I bought the 14k first, then a 20k because I didn't like how yellow it was. 20k is the exact same thing in looks of the element and color temperature

I'm currently running 2 of these on a 120 gallon reef tank along with T5s. The Color is decent, albeit a little on the yellow side for 14K. My biggest problem is that they actually flicker back and forth between blue and white. If you look at the bulb (with sunglasses) you can see the arc jumping around inside the tube and changing the color of the light.No idea about par or lifespan, but these were just temporary until I saved up enough for quality aquarium bulbs.-Edit -Bulbs have been running for <20 Hours and already one has burnt out. Don't waste your money, just get real bulbs.-Edit again -Just as I finished updating this review, the other one went.

Bought the bulb because of the price. It's exactly what the price suggests, cheap. Don't buy it two months in use , it's not even half as bright and now it flickers and goes out every 30 minutes.
