Safe, strong Al-Cu connection. Don't burn down the house!
We just bought a house built in the 70s with aluminum wiring. As we update switches, lights, ceiling fans, etc., these have worked very well to secure a connection between Al and Cu wire. We have open circuits where old wire nuts, even ones that were supposed to be for Al-Cu connections, have come loose due to Aluminum expanding. To do that, they would have had to heat up, and that's the fire danger, along with the electric arc that gap could cause. The set screws easily clamp down hard so these leads are not going anywhere. They are close enough to the size of the wire nuts they replace to not crowd the box as we switch over. If you have to connect aluminum wire to copper, use these! Also come in three lead style.

Best way to go from Aluminumm to Copper for the DIY er
I've used these for several wiring projects at my house and highly recommend them. They are simple to use and provide a peace of mind knowing they reduce the risk of fire. The major draw backs on these are the price and the size. Averaging $3+ per connector, it gets pretty pricey replacing outlets, switches and fixture. Also, your gang box will become pretty crowed, especially if you're using dimmer switches. I typically use the 3 port connectors, but the 2 port have been handy for multiple things; just buy the right ones based on you project. Although you can use these with a standard screwdriver, I recommend getting a torque if you will be using these in any volume.

The most secure way to wire!
Just look at the 2 pictures included and tell me what you want behind your wall. These are real pictures from our home built in 1966 that I am currently working on eliminating aluminum connections.I have seen first hand where someone had installed (15a - 120v) CO only rated NOT Co/Alr receptacles where the screw was so loose it was sparking between the two screws causing a thermal burn to start on the receptacle.Truthfully, I would use these little puppies on copper 2 copper connections as well just because they are so secure. What else can I say other then now I know they are called KING INNOVATION!

Not big enough gauge for my application
The product seems fine for what it is only giving it a 3 rating because its too small for the aluminum wiring in my house. My fault for ordering and not realizing it only accepted up to #10 gauge, with much difficulty I somehow made what I had work but its not as secure and in place as much as I would like. I searched online and didnt see any products designed for thicker wiring like #8 or #6.

EXPENSIVE BUT THE BEST PRODUCT FOR SAFE ALUMINUM WIRING
I have been an electrician for 35 years. These connectors by King are by far the safest and easiest to install on aluminum wiring. For pig tailing outlets use the 3 port model.I hope sellers will lower the price some. Most people affected by aluminum wire hazards are low income or disabled.

Great product, great solution!
I really like these. I've dealt with numerous aluminum wiring issues at my house over the years. There are problems finding the right receptacle's for aluminum wire now so this is perfect, it lets me fix my issue with new readily available parts with the use of pigtails from my old wiring. Very happy.

Great product. Easy to use (if you also get a torque screwdriver). Very useful to have these 2 port connectors in some places where 3 port connectors are not needed.
