Feline Pine Clumping Litter Size: 9 Pound

Ordered this thinking that this was ground pine litter not pellets. It was somewhat ground, but not completely. We have used this brand before for our dogs- yes, they are litter box trained, but used - I guess it is the "saw dust" texture and we were very happy with it. Very disappointed that this didn't work for us. If you are able to receive the saw dust texture, it is wonderful. It has a fresh pine smell and does not smell over the course of the week as long as the litter pan it is emptied everyday. Seeing as though we are in Belgium, we have no choice but to use this until we return to the U.S.

Commenting here in an attempt to help other pet owners:We purchased a couple boxes of this, based on the stated 9.9Lb box size, hoping they were actually 10Lb boxes of the original formula. They are not. The actual box sold here is 9Lbs - not sure why the seller lists it as 9.9Lbs, because all other info on their listing (UPC code, etc...) is accurate.Here's the background: The independent, Florida-based Feline Pine brand was recently acquired by a large, New Jersey based manufacturer (maker of Arm & Hammer cat litter, and numerous other household brands). This spring (2012) they introduced a different formula of litter, in the same packaging as the original formula (and making the same claims about healthiness for cats, etc...).The bulk of this new formula is selling in the 14Lb box, and we'd STRONGLY encourage users to check out the reviews on Amazon for the 14 pounder before ordering.

My cat prefers this to the original. It has no odor, and is easier to scoop than the original. This also makes less of a mess. Love it!
