IT'S A BLESSING HAVING A 'CORRECT' TRANSLATION!
GREAT to FINALLY have a translation that's closest to being 'accurate'! Over seventy (70) translations since the first one was done a few hundred years ago! AMAZING that someone who grew up in the area where Christ grew up ... speaking the language today as it was spoken at the time He was on the earth is indeed a BLESSING!

I like Lamsa's interpretation from the Eastern source
I like Lamsa's interpretation from the Eastern source. I thought it would be more like his other books on the New and Old Testament Light. There, he delves into the culture of the time in correlation with Biblical History and other sources.

Great version of Bible
Book was old and musty, but I bought it anyway. Great to have a Bible that is a more accurate translation of Aramaic.

It CLAIMS to be the first total complilation of the OT and NT. PTL!
I like that it claims to be the first complete Bible. I DIDN'T like the Roman Catholic slant. The passage about Peter recognizing Jesus as "the Christ, the Son of the LIving God!" has Jesus saying "You are the stone, and upon this stone, I will build my church." I believe THAT is a mis-translation on Lamsa's part. Otherwise, a good Bible; one of the BEST! But I still like my NIV!!
