My Hero Academia: Season One [DVD]

I originally bought this show as a gift for my little cousin. But, after encouragement decided to watch it myself.My Hero Academia seems to follow many of the traditional tropes of shonen anime, which for another would have put me off instantly. BUT, it does so in fresh and original ways. I didn't feel like I was watching a template copy, but something cool and original.It felt like a Japanese twist on Marvel/DC super heroes and was thoroughly enjoyable due to it.Lot's of emotional moments, cool battles and varied characters.Well worth a watch for any super hero fan.

Great item. Glad season 1 has come out as a normal dvd at last. However was a bugger that the item arrived with a cracked case from amazon. That was a shame

The start to another great Anime franchise, much like Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto and Bleach before it-My Hero Academia takes American Comic Book Superheroes and introduces them to Japanese Manga formats. Ever since he was a kid, Izuku Midoriya has dreamed of becoming a Hero much like his role-model and idol, the number 1 Hero All Might. However, due to being born in the "minority" of a superhuman based society, full of "Quirky" powers and such. Izuku believed that his dream had died...or so he thought. Whether it was a chance or fated encounter, Izuku actually meets All Might in the flesh and from there, his adventure as a Hero in training begins. Alongside others does Izuku begin attending the Hero Academia U.A., wanting to fulfil the expectations of his family, his Hero and...Izuku himself.

A fine DvD exactly what I ordered

My daughter has been bugging me to watch this with her, and as a fan if anime and manga myself i decided to get the first season on dvd. (She had been watching it on YouTube). I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this show is. I cant wait to get the second season!
