The Ollie Swaddle is made from a custom designed moisture-wicking material to help reduce the risk of overheating. It is made from a special stretch material that helps to allow for a snug fit to ease with the transition from the womb, while, at the same time, not putting any constraint on the joints. The Ollie helps to reduce the Moro (startle) reflex and decrease irritability and fussiness. The Ollie enhances the quality and duration of sleep, while promoting bonding and thus enhancing neurodevelopment.

Better Than Anything Else on The Market
Our baby girl sleeps so much better swaddled but she is also an escape artist! After watching her work her arms out of most swaddle products, we eventually just used A&A blankets (which she squirmed out of), until a week or two ago when I woke to find that the blanket swaddle had come off her body entirely and was looped around her neck and behind her head, terrifying! We switched to sleep sack swaddle but she was still escaping and sleeping less well. By chance, I heard about this product through a mommy group and it looked like the safest option. There were only a few reviews on Amazon but I was pretty desperate so I decided to give it a chance. We really like it, it keeps her arms in better than anything else so far (occasionally she can get one out but it might be user error) and she is sleeping as well as she ever has. I would note that last night she got her feet out the bottom between the velcro and the tie, so we are trying to use a rubber band further up the sack to see if it works better. If it keeps happening or interferes with her sleep, I'll come back and adjust stars accordingly.UPDATE: We used the ollie swaddle for several months and I still think it's the best thing on the market. I also wanted to note that it was a miracle for long flights, compared with trying to swaddle a baby in an A&A blanket in a small space. If we have another baby, this will be the only swaddle product we use!

I wanted to love this, but simply cannot
I wanted to love this, but simply cannot. I've had such a love hate relationship with this swaddle. For the price it lasted me all of two months. The tie on the bottom has already broken and the Velcro is not sticking well and is scratchy to the touch. My baby really liked this swaddle at first as far as texture of the material. However, it did not ever provide extended sleep etc. What I loved most about the Ollie was its ease of use, hands down the easiest swaddle blanket to use and I love the material. However at 10 weeks my daughter can easily bust out of this swaddle and two days ago I found after she had gotten her hands up that the swaddle itself was also beginning to cover her face, this is dangerous. For the price it should last beyond 8 weeks of use. I always hand washed it in the bag provided and air dried, it was incredibly well taken care of to fall apart so soon. I have found the miracle blanket to outlast and provide much better long term sleeping and soothing. This is my third baby and I had high hopes for this swaddle, I even same day shipped it. For almost 70 bucks with shipping I could have bought 3 other swaddle blankets. Sad to say this just wasn't the one for us.

Loved it at first, but not after a couple of months
After seeing this on the Today show, I was excited to buy it for my newborn. I loved it at first:- Velcro closure was fast and easy- Fairly lightweight which is good since we live in Puerto Rico and while we use AC, the bedroom is still around 75 degrees at night- Like that I could leave the bottom open and allow extra air flow at the bottomBut after a couple of months of use, my opinion of it has fallen considerably:- the Velcro is poorly attached and my two month old ripped three of the four circles right off. It was easy to sew them back on and we haven't had that problem again, but why would a $50 wrap require not securely sew them on?- my now 3.5 month old still has a startle reflex and is wriggling and is not rolling over yet, so a swaddle is still needed. However, he now has the strength to loosen the Velcro with all his movement and the wrap comes undone or bunches around his neck and chin. I find this extremely dangerous and have discontinued use immediately.I am on the look out for a new swaddle - something secure and lightweight. I will update this review if I find something.

Wanted to love.
Elastic at bottom broke first time it was used. Got a new one from Ollie, the Velcro came undone the 2nd time it was used. Wanted to love this product but just poorly made. Their customer service was great though!

expensive and works when velcro is not failing
let me first say that this swaddle worked for us. our daughter slept a million times better with and still at 5 months old - still uses it for the occasional nap. it helped settle her down when she got overwhelmed the first few months - so that is the great. the reason it is NOT getting 5 stars is because this is basically a piece of fabric with velcro on it. the "band" at the bottom to optionally tie off the feed snapped the first time i used it. Also, I used the little laundry bag and followed all of the laundering instructions, but despite that the velcro is failing miserably. I KNOW there is better velcro out there and for this price - this company needs to source better velcro. Because you are paying for a piece of fabric with circle velcro on it. SO with that said, it works, it is very much overpriced and there needs to be better velcro. If a product is made up of 2 pieces/products and one of them fails - then that is not great. If the velcro doesn't work then the baby will break out and wake themselves up.So Ollie people - source better velcro and bring your price down. This is basically an athletic/spandexy type of material with velcro - how in the world is SO much?

Not only does she love the swaddle
This swaddle is a serious life saver!! As soon as I wrap my little girl up in this swaddle, she is instantly calmed. Not only does she love the swaddle, this one is pretty much idiot proof. You can easily swaddle your baby quickly and without hassle. I definitely recommend this swaddle to all!! Would make a great shower gift.
