Ion Pathfinder II Rugged Bluetooth Portable Speaker - Red (Renewed)

Updating this review I still have not had any issues but I will recommend a lifehack. If you find the alenkey and remove the back panel. Under there will be the battery and antenna wire wrapped around in a U shape. I pulled mine out and found the most loose spot where the back panel meets to run it through. I just have my antenna wire flopping around in front or where ever it works best but it is night and day better radio reception. Can also tie to handle for options.So I purched this product about 4 weeks ago. I was replacing a monster rocking roller 2 that I had for 3 years (which I loved) but unfortunatly ended up having a issue where the number 6 button was ghost pressing itself constantly. This new ion pathfinder2 is so far, everything my monster was and more(3years newer).Sound quality: At first I was not thrilled comparatively but after about three days, like any good speaker the speakers broke in and it sounds really good for what it is. I deffinitly noticed a brake in change after some higher volume listening when I look back at how it sounded. Have had multiple people notice the quality and output and mention it.Battery: so far it holds up to expectations. You could deffinitly do 2 days of 10hour hard listening and not even go below half battery or kill it. But I always try to charge it when I can.Volume: louder then my 80watt monster as expected. I always try to stick it in a corner of the shop to emphasize the bass. I like the volume knob control.Bass: when I got my monster I got it because everyone said ion was louder but didnt have the bass which I prefered but that has changed and I would say this ion pathfinder bass is on par with the output and with the monster.Bass boost: comes in handy for the radio. Adds some bump when neededRadio: wish it had a pull out antenna. But does okay for the lack there of. Hey ION use the pull out handle to double as an antenna. Just an idea.Have not used the microphone yet.Aux: works. LolFM presets: having the 10 available is nice.Lights: work but I dont use muchCondition was like new. Purchased as refurbished.Would like to get another one at some point. kind of disappointed I didnt find the ion audio explorer extreme before I bought this because it looks to have much more output with a bigger speaker.Purchased and paid for by me. Not compensated at all for this review. But figured I'd help out a product that I was skeptical about due to the renewed status. But am currently happy with. Also purchased the 3 year warentee with amazon just incase.Will update if anything changes for the worse.

Needed a PA system for a reception. Purchased https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073GLSKM4 and was terribly disappointed. Purchased the ION for a little more money, and didn't expect much based on the first experience. The first surprise was the size and the rugged quality. It's the size of a carry on suitcase and very rugged. Connected it to my phone in seconds and was almost literally blown away by the quality of the sound with a deep bass and good highs. This is WITHOUT the bass boost enabled. Played it for a couple of hours pretty loud and it took down the battey only by one notch. I am very impressed by this. It's a keeper and so much fun to use. Even the LED bar light that responds to the music is fun to watch. It has a handle that allows you to roll it around. That's no luxury as the thing is heavy :-)

A friend of mine has the older model, and it sounded great. My previous radio broke so now is my time. Love the wheels and love the sound, bass and what should be great wetherproof durability. However, I opened the box and went to charge it, the female plug connected to the radio was broken out. I opened the cupholder part of the radio and found it, also inside there were two wires that clearly needed to be connected, apart. I am dissapointed in the "Renewed" program. Clearly somebody didnt give a god damn about shipping out a broken product. Thumbs down Amazon.

I have only had this speaker for a few weeks, but so far it is well worth the money. The deep bass sounds great. Have not really used the mic that came with it, but tested and it does work. Mostly connected to the speaker with Bluetooth from phone and so far it sounds rich and clean. Recommended.

It works okay but the battery dies really quick.

Straight out of the box I could tell that this does have a lot of scratches on the face plate. I chose to pair it right away with my Motorola G7 power, it paired right away. I decided to put on Miranda Lambert to see how the sound quality was, it sounded like Miranda Lambert was in my living room I kid you not. We then took the microphone out and used it as a karaoke machine for about 2 hours, the kids absolutely loved it. I will review again in a few days maybe a week or so and give an update on the battery life and let you folks know if there's any issues that I have with it. As of right now it's a really awesome machine with great sound and even though it has some cosmetic issues it's an awesome deal for the price

The bluetooth functionality on this speaker is great. It connects and disconnects from my phone automatically as I walk around the house. It has solid sound but, of course, it's not stereo so the audio quality is limited but has plenty of volume. The battery lasts a long time. I use it on the patio and around the pool and I'm sure I'll be using it for years to come.

Product looked nice but was broken out of the box. No sound with radio, bluetooth or any other source.
