I love these needles! I am making a baby blanket, and started with straight needles, which quickly became a huge pain. I didn't have circular needles (my usual choice for everything,) in the size I needed, so I ordered these. They are so much easier to use - no uncurling the plastic joining the two needles, so nice with double yarn, etc. These are definitely my new favorites!

I prefer metal over plastic needles and these were great! The only thing I could complain about would be the sharper point on the needles; I had to adjust my knitting so that I didn't push the point of the needle to drop off the knitted stitch; the sharper points did make binding off easier (I don't know if this will cause a problem with splitting regular yarn, this is the first set of these that I have and have only used them with Bernat Blanket yarn). By far the best thing though was that the transition from cable to needle was very smooth and stitches did not bind up at all when going from the cable to the needle. They are a bit pricey but the advantages they had for me made them worth it and I will very likely be buying more.

I have no plans to ever purchase any circular needles ever again that are not ChiaGoo. My Red Lace are always the perfect weight, work great with whatever yarn I’m using and are so smooth, and easier to work with than any other needles I’ve used. I started a project with plastic needles that came with a kit. Too light and slippery and hard to work with. Switched to some bamboos that were hard to work with because the yarn would catch on the transition from the hollow plastic cord to the bamboo. Got sick of it and ordered these and now I’m moving right along. ChiaoGoo Red Lace might be a little pricey but they’re going to last forever so for me they are more than worth it.

These circular knitting needles are made from surgical grade stainless steel. The red lace cable does not twist or get kinks. The yarn slides easily over the join. Simply the best circular knitting needles I have ever used. I am hooked!
