The Health Benefits of Cayenne

An interesting writing about cayenne pepper and at what it during time has been used
Until now I trough out most of the time have got much cayenne pepper. Especially since 1967 when I each weekend, out in the farms, was together with the family to the director in the firm where I then worked, and his wife, who made the food, from India mowed to Denmark, and I thereby got much Indian food. And by now I'm living in Thailand, the country about which we in the book 2 times are reading that here, like in Mexico, we are having the loves percent number concerning heart attacks, as the result of the daily consuming of much cayenne. We in the book are having interesting stories about first the discovering of the cayenne by the Aztecs, and how they there among other used the cayenne pepper to punish misbehaving children by putting a pinch of it on their tongues and forced them to keep it there for a while. And we learn that the name Cayenne comes from the city in French Guiana. But the story that really caught my interest was the writing on side 25, in the part "Frostbite/ Frozen Limbs", under the "Uses of Cayenne Pepper for Various Health Conditions". Because here we read about a doctor, in USA, who long time ago, who didn't to want to as the first thing to amputate both feet on a young person who came to him with the feet frozen up to the ankles. So instead he tried by given him cayenne pepper. After a few day with heavy pain the person again could stand up on his feats, and then already the sixteenth day he walked 9 miles without problems. And he only had lost but 5 toenails. We also learn about the different scales for the heat intensity for the cayenne, the original 1 to 10, and the later Wilbur Scoville Units 0 to 300,000. And are getting the explanation to how it goes on when a machine are working for finding the actual heat intensity in an actual chiles. As a remark I still recall that this year, that is 2012, we in the international news were reading that cayenne with the highest number was found to be by a person in England. In the small book we are getting much writing about the many different things for what the cayenne pepper has been used. And actual I'm going to ask in the biggest local pharmacy if they are having either the capsules or the special anesthetic cream mentioned the book, and in case so then try it against my own daily nerve pain in one of my arms and the pains that my wife have in hands.

A Very Informative Overview of the Benefits of Cayenne
This is THE overview book that originally got me interested in all the benefits that Cayenne has to offer. It not only gives a short history about the various uses of Cayenne in ancient cultures, but gives anecdotal evidence on all the benefits modern naturopathic medicine has learned about this amazing spice. Much of the research cited comes from the findings of the late Dr. John R. Christopher, one of America's foremost pioneers in herbal medicine. It was Dr. Christopher who discovered that Cayenne could actually stop a heart attack within a few minutes, which is why he never went anywhere without a bottle of Cayenne tincture, and never lost a cardiac patient either. Cayenne even helped Dr. Christopher regain his own cardiovascular health from age 36 to 44, as proven by four physicals given by two different doctors. Cayenne can also help alleviate Angina, Blood Clots, Congestive Heart Failure, High Cholesterol, Heart Arrhythmias, Heart Disease, Hypertension, and other cardiovascular problems. It also stops wounds from bleeding, helps fight infection and inflammation, and (incidentally) makes a great spice to use at a summer BBQ.My advice: If you've never heard about all the health benefits of Cayenne, then get this book. After reading it, pass it on to someone who really needs the information, with instructions for them to pass it to someone else, etc. Then do your own research using naturopathic publications, and you too will understand how well Cayenne can help boost cardiovascular health and vitality.

Excellent book!
Excellent book, lots of great info on hot peppers which I have had great luck with myself, losing weight, greatly reduced cholesterol, much more energy, etc.. Only downfall is Amazon is not packaging their books well anymore, I ordered $100 worth of books that were all thrown in a box and arrived all banged up! This is the 2nd order in a row, I will think twice about ordering again as I dont care for my books being all banged up! They used to use a cellofane wrapper to hold them all together but guess it was a cost cutting measure, sad to see damaged books..

Cayenne pepper advocate
This book contained pretty much what I already new, considering its reasonable price I'm satisfied. Haven't checked to see if the author updated this book with current research, since this was published in 1997.

So glad I bought it
Very interesting book. I had heard of using Cayenne for some things, but not for the heart and blood pressure. So glad I bought it. I am currently working to get my blood pressure down by diet, exercise and Cayenne pepper pills.

Snake oil Pamphlet from the 1970s
This "book" - really a pamphlet, is outdated and google can provide better insight. Cayenne has plenty of uses but this idiot touts it like a wild west snake oil sales man. Oh your toe hurts, put some cayenne on it. Pass!
