LOK is getting back on track with its plot!
This is a definite buy for anyone who was a fan of "The Legend of Korra." The story is now back to its main roots and plot. We can see what the fallout of Kuvira's actions were and seeing Kuvira again made me very happy. She was one of the best and complex antagonists of the series. This comic touches on the nuances of Kuvira as a person as well. Her interactions with Korra seem natural: reserved yet respectful. Asami wears a perennial frown in the entire narrative of this issue as Kuvira is around. It calls back to her quiet anger and passive aggression of Book 1. Yet, seeing the circumstances it is only natural and appropriate. There are tensions within the Krew concerning Kuvira. My only qualms are is that Korra appeases Asami a bit TOO much. I know Korrasami is canon and important but it seems that Korra and Asami disagree a lot less than Mike actually stated. This seems a bit off. Additionally, Korra does still connect a lot to Kuvira and you see why. They have VERY similar patterns of behaviours and attitudes. In one scene, she even projects both Book 1 Korra and Mako. She is the most like Korra in terms of personality despite her horrible actions.Storywise and plotwise a great continuation to the series. Characterisation of Korra, Mako, Asami and Bolin are pretty en pointe. At times, Mako releases Book 1 & 4 Korra energy, which was awesome. The book has some subtle Korrasami moments but one part seemed strange.Overall, A. I just loved Korra, Mako and Kuvira in this first issue! Asami also acted pensive, which I liked and Bolin was unapologetically Bolin. The main plotline was intelligently introduced by the end.

Good start for the series
As someone who was underwhelmed by Turf Wars and I had no idea this was coming out, I am pleasantly surprised by this new direction. It directly deals with the aftermath of series finale and brings back the Korra-Kuvira dynamic which has great potential (pleasing to see hints of character growth from both of them). All in all, looking forward to see where this goes.

Great follow to the Cartoon!
This comic book is well paced and structured. It builds on the wider world of the show and somehow it manages to give many characters a voice.
