LEGOStar Wars Homing Spider Droid 75016

What a great set. My 5 and 7 year old love it. They put it together by themselves (each one page of the instructions to avoid an intergalactic war) with just a bot of help for the legs. The set is well kept together when they are playing with it.

This iteration of the Homing Spider Droid is way more detailed but includes less interesting mini figures. With only one unique figure and the Mini Spider Droid it isn't as good for figures, however the main set itself is great, highly detailed and ultimately a better set than the previous Spider Droid.

2 humanoid minifigs : one Jedi, one soldier, one light saber, one rifle2 super battle droids (little ones): weapons embedded in their arms (good for moving around and developing tactical situations)1 dwarf spider droid : 4 legs, many pieces, fragile. It can imitate firing weapons. and 1 homing spider droid : 1 rocket launcher, one poseable laser cannon (can be modified to swivel)Your LEGO kid WANTS this one.

My 10 y/o son bought this and he said "it exceeded my expectations and took a long time to put together, in a good way". He really enjoyed putting it together and has it displayed proudly! He felt it was worth the price and would recommend it to others.

My Grandson loves this set! Unfortunately, Amazon and other on-line retailers are playing games with the prices during the holiday season. Do yourself a favor and shop around locally for LEGO products before you buy. You will most likely save enough money to buy an additional set for someone. I am a huge fan of Amazon and do all my shopping here but am disappointed in how the prices on LEGO can double during the holidays.

We purchased this set for our 10 year old son’s birthday. The box was opened and had been taped shut. The box was dented and crushed in half. Definitely NOT giftable condition. This set was expensive - huge let down.

Can't keep this spider standing up without propping it against something else for support. Our 8 yr. old hasn't played with it because of this.

For my 7 and half years old son the product is within his grasp... allows him to construct it almost alone through the manual...I have noticed that there are a couple of extras pieces seem to confuse ...maybe an extra separate bag with extra title might be usefulWhat I recommend relabel the product suitability from 7 to 12 to from 7 to 9 year ageI do recommend also to ask the user to organize the lego pieces on a wide area where he puts all pieces infront of him before constructing in order to get them familiar with all the pieces early on ....
