I Am a terrible shuffler and I like to play cards often
I Am a terrible shuffler and I like to play cards often. I decided to give it a whirl and it worked great. It is easy to use just press a button. It does take batteries and they are easy to change in and out. The batteries last a long time and I use it almost everyday. Also it is nice for the younger kids who can't shuffle. My kids found in fascinating! Even if you are a good shuffler I would recommend it. It was a great price. Once the cards are shuffled they are easy to take out. It can shuffle one deck of cards or more. I actually bought these for others and they love it. Very pleased and would definitely recommend!

Nice Shuffler, works great.
My wife and I both have hand problems and have trouble shuffling cards, especially when more that one deck is required. I saw this on amazon and decided to try it based on other reviews. I was a little concerned because of some of the negative reviews out there. We tried it today and it works great.Pros: Shuffles cards quickly and quite well, and is very fast and easy to use.Cons: A little noisy, but not enough to not use it. Cards tend to bounce in the hopper and sometimes fly off. Works best if you hold your hand just over the cards to keep them from jumping out or turning on their edge. Plastic construction gives me concern for lasting quality, but so far no problems. Requires 4 C cell batteries, not included. I wish it used double AA batteries so I could use rechargable.

Works great, might have to flip cards if not!
We have a smaller version of this, but with our "5 Crowns" deck of cards, we needed a bigger shuffler. The cards are somewhat still and slightly curled upwards, so when I used this shuffler with the cards facing down, they would jam quite a bit or some cards would end up upright in the sides of the bin.Not until I saw a picture of a different shuffler with the cards placed FACE UP in it did it occur to me to try and just flip the cards - the difference is amazing! The machine zips through the cards, and they all land perfectly straight in the bin.So, if your cards jam the machine, flip the deck over before loading to see if it fixes the problem.

Lasted only 3 weeks of Moderate use
I purchased this to help speed up our family "Uno Night" of shuffling cards between games. I'd say a pack of Uno cards is 112 cards, so a little over 2 standard deck of cards. I'm seeing a lot of people in the comments sections claiming their unit takes "C" batteries, however the unit I received takes 4 "AA" batteries.I'd say a pack of Uno cards is 112 cards, so a little over 2 standard deck of cards, far below the "4 Deck Maximum." It worked "okay" at first. Cards would get stuck in the middle while shuffling and many cards would get turned over while getting shuffled forcing you to move them to the bottom of the pile while dealing and/or playing. After a little over three weeks of moderate use (moderate being about 10-15 shuffles/week) the motor on one side of the unit stopped working making this useless and a complete waste of $20.I guess it's back to shuffling cards the "Old Fashioned Way."Steer clear, I DO NOT recommend this product.

Gets the job done when the batteries do not move around
First of all when it does work it works decent, cant complain. My biggest problem with this is the battery port design. There is space behind where the batteries should be held and that makes it easy for the batteries to move out of place. Basically what happens a lot is I try to shuffle the cards and it doesn't work because the battery has shifted. So I have to remove the cards, open the battery cap underneath and re-position them and it works.

Shuffles regular playing cards, Phase 10 and SkipBo fast!
We have been using this thing like crazy for the last 2 weeks since we got it. Several times each night. We shuffle regular decks, skip bo decks and phase 10 decks so far. It's a little noisy but so worth it. I was worried it wouldn't shuffle odd sized cards like skip bo and phase 10 but no problems at all. We have noticed on worn decks that we must put them face down because they are slightly curved from shuffling so much by hand and the roller grabs them from the center. Occasionally a card or 2 will be turned face up in the deck but I can live with that. Takes 4 C batteries. Wish it had a power cord but it's a keeper for our card playing family. Thanks!

Very pleased, works great the the Bicycle Braille cards as well
Very pleased with this purchase. Works great. I've read on the online encyclopedia that shuffling 7 times in pure shuffle works best to randomize the cards. So I do that plus mix other shuffle techniques mentioned on that site by hand to ensure randomization. This machine is less piercing when run than a pencil sharpener by far but about as loud. Eases my mind when it comes to making sure the cards are shuffled. I've shuffled 4 decks of cards multiple times with good results. Only tip with the Braille cards is to make sure the bottom two on each side are pushed to where they stop towards the center before shuffling. Comes out great everytime then. Also the Braille cards stand high when in the pack so one deck can do only, possibly two at a time but not 4.

Very short battery life. Abysmal build quality. Anything else will do better.
Low battery life, and poor build quality. This requires C batteries, which do not last very long with the power drawn by the motors.Additionally, the sloppy manufacturing tolerances in moving components meant that the left side overwhelmingly slowed down after the second use. After a few uses, the left side ended up rubbing against the side of the case to the point where it no longer moves. The main gears on either side oscillate visibly by around half a centimeter. Combined with the fact that the gears barely mesh with each other ensures constant slipping between gears. The manufacturer is fully aware of this issue, and to correct their poor quality, they include a handy guide for when the gears inevitably lose contact.Overall, I would recommend that you spend a little more for something that lasts more than two weeks. This card shuffler does work, but not for long. In other words, buy literally anything else.

Too weak
When attempting to use the shuffler, it doesn't grrab the cards from the sides to mix together properly, too weak.
