Poorly written and edited.
Love Jean George’s and his restaurants. Somewhat interesting book but very poorly edited. A lot of repetition of stories, wisdom and anecdotes. Could have been a lot better richer with better literary guidance and editing.

Great Resource from a Food Genius
I love this chef and (having been to his Beverly Hills restaurant) and was interested in trying to cook some delicious meals inspired by the great one. The book comes through with some winning recipes but I would have enjoyed it even more with the addition of photos.

his Mama's goose stew
Another epic story of positive parental influence. 1st chapter alone is worth the price of the book. how in the world could you cook for 40 working people for lunch every day and do it in one hour. This should be a must read for EVERY culinary institute student.

Loved reading this book
Love food, love to cook, love celebrity chefs. This a quick read and very interesting. The recipes are a little complicated but you would expect them to be. Interesting story.

The edition of that book was not meant for general publication.
The book seemed to have been a promotional or advance review copy without captions under the photographs, missing page numbers and incomplete list of contents, not something that should be resold.

By one of New York’s MASTER Chefs
Attractively designed, illustrated with photographs, anecdotal and highly readable by one of New York’s master chefs. More than simply autobiographical, an excellent portrait in words.
