Easy to use
This vinyl is a great way to refresh worn out and faded B-pillar trim on a car. Made the area look brand new or freshly painted.

It Works
Used to help seal a truck bed cove against the tailgate. It keeps most of the water out. Heavy duty rubber and relatively easy to use.

Looks great, easy to apply
Just follow the instructions and you won't have any problems. I used to replace cracked rocker panel clear guard material that would not come off easily. Just clean off the area and make as smooth as possible and apply and use heat to activate the adhesive.Actual looks great on my car, nice contrast to the silver/gray paintHave plenty left over for any other job too.

Used when paint was peeling off my Thinkpad
The paint was coming off one of my laptops; apparently it is hard to properly paint magnesium alloys, and Lenovo's factories for my model were not up to the job. I scraped off all the paint that was peeling or close to it, cut a piece of this wrap to cover the case of the laptop, and applied it over both the scraped area and the area where there is still paint. It looks fine, and doesn't seem to affect the laptop's internal temperature.I have other laptops which are covered in that horrible rubber soft-touch coating that deteriorates after a few years; this should be good for those as well, though I think all the goop would have to be removed first.

(Updated) disappointed
Update....since I submitted the review, I was contacted by customer service wanting to remedy the issue. Since I no longer have a need for more vinyl, they ended up refunding which I am thankful! Adding a star for their response!----------------For the past week, I've tried covering a plastic chrome trim piece around my emblem with vinyl. I’ve about 4-6 times. Each time, I ended up starting over once I noticed some creases weren’t coming out on the left and right side of the trim piece.InstallationI cleaned the item with rubbing alcohol. I used my fingers, a heat gun, and a soft spade shaped Squeegee to apply and move the vinyl. I also wet sanded the trim piece to make sure the surface was smooth.IssuesI’ve experienced issues with the adhesive not being tacky (even after being heated), not sticking around tight edges, minimal shrinking/conforming around the very contoured areas. I was able to get around the lacking adhesion on edges by applying 3M Adhesion Promoter. I had to continuously apply heat to the contoured areas to try to conform the vinyl with no luck. The material would soften for 5 secs or so, then shrink back up. Once I got to the tight edge of that contour, it just made a crease and fold over because of the bunched-up vinyl. I was able to get rid of some of the creases by pulling, but not all worked.I can only assume this product is meant for only flat or small contour surfaces. The vinyl felt very thick and durable. But when it came to having to conform it to contours and edges, it couldn’t keep the shape. Least to say, I gave up using this brand. I ended up purchasing 3M vinyl (1080) instead, and guess what, it worked on the first try.
