Not the most comfortable, but they're alright. I usually wear a 9.5 but these feel a little big.The pads seem like they wear out at a moderate pace. If I wore them at work installing solar every day I could see myself going through 2 or 3 sets of pads in a year, but realistically I might go through 1 maybe two sets in a year.$35 for new pads seems a little steep considering what they are, the cloth side of velcro adhered dense foam easily stamped out in mass quantities.But damn do they ever stick to the roof, that part is pretty fantastic. If only they were more comfortable and replacement pads were $20, I'd be very happy. Can't say I'd really recommend these, but they are a good option.I might get some insoles for them.

Bought these boots for my husband for work and he hasn’t worn them but a week and the pads on the bottom are already falling off. Not impressed at all.

After reading various (and conflicting) comments concerning size, I concluded that these boots should be ordered as 1 size smaller than normal shoe size. That was the right decision, since the fit is perfect. If you are going to walk on an asphalt shingle roof with a pitch greater than 6/12, and value your life, get these boots. The pads provide maximum surface contact area and coefficient of friction when walking on the shingle roof. Yes they are expensive, but what value do you put on not falling off a roof?

I wear a size 10, ordered a 9.5 because of the reviews, had send the size 9.5 back and get a size 9. Still a little too big.

These are at least 1/2 size too big, maybe more. The company charged me a 20% restocking fee when I returned them, which would have been fine if they didn't say to buy your normal size!

The hooks for the laces fell out the first time I wore the boots.
