Lovely book, but came damaged on one side - don’t want to return because it is such a waste to throw it away. It is a present on the other hand, so quite embarrassing to hand it in this condition. Don’t know what to do really ...!!

The Flower Fix by Anna Potter is crammed with numerous floral arrangement ideas that should spark the creative juices when it comes to arranging flowers. The two things I really liked about Potter's book was the Basic Skills and Glossary of Flowers chapters. In the basic skills chapter the author explains how to create frames such as a free-standing or wreath structure to use in floral arranging. In the Glossary of Flowers chapter the author tells about various flowers including the length of time for their use.Recommend.Review written after downloading a galley from NetGalley.

Whilst the flower arrangement projects are lovely, what I really like about this book is the easy going and informative style of writing, decorating and thinking behind the projects.I enjoyed the adventure into the colour and use of the seasons, and the thinking outside the square aspect of arranging the followsThere are detailed information on copying the arrangements in the book, but the book is more than this.

I bought this as I wanted some instruction on flower arranging a ‘how to’ guide but this book had minimal instruction. It appears to be a book on the authors thoughts and style of flower arranging. With some filler pictures. Very disappointed.

This book not only shares a creative gift so openly and generously with us, but it offers a piece of the heart and soul of the writer. Swallows and Damsons story is through and through inspirational - this is a book that feeds every creative soul, whether you want to learn how to fix flowers or not. Furthermore, India Hobson’s photograph captures to spirit of Anna’s work which reaches out off the page. A definite read for every artist and creative.

Fabulous book by the most talented florist. Completely love this beautiful book.
