Pretty good deal - be smart about mounting
I bought this to put on my Honda CRF450RX in place of the left exhaust pipe that was removed to put on an FMF exhaust with spark arrestor. I cut off the mounting tabs with an angle grinder and mounted it using hose clamps to a bent piece of 1/8 inch aluminum bar extending from the original exhaust mount bolts. 750ml fuel container fits in there nicely with thin foam keeping it snug. Can also put tools, food, whatevs. I tried to upload photos and I can see them uploaded but it says “Hmm, that didn’t work. Tap thumbnail to retry.”

Extra Space on a motorcycle
Very useful on a bike !! I bought two of those :On one side i carry my rain outfit (and a small Isotherm shopping bag) so it stays on the bike and it's always available. And on the other side i carry a MSR bottle of gas so on long distance trip i get to run the bike some extra miles that already allowed me to reach a gas station when running out of gas.

Nice, but bigger than I expected.
Measure the mounting space before you order. This is bigger than it looks. It does fit on my KLR 650, but just barely. I advise using some rubber sheeting to give enough space for the lid. It is flush with the tube and is hard to put on if the tube is against something. It holds all the tools I currently carry. Do NOT use the provided zip ties. They are very cheap. It was a good purchase, just plan ahead.

1 liter MSR Bottle will NOT fit!
The mid-size tube WOULD fit a 1 liter MSR bottle IF and ONLY IF one does NOT buy the model with the locking cap. Such model has bolt threads and nuts that protrude into the canister and prevent the bottle from sliding in. You have to remove entirely the locking assembly to make the bottle fit, but then you have two open holes. You can of course cover the holes with tape, or more securely, or leave them open. But you will not have the benefit of the locking capability.A second issue is that for my motorbike, a pretty large one, I could not find a good place to install the tube. Connecting it to the inside of the pannier racks cannot work using the provided (very nice) attachment clamps as the pannier then will be not fit into the rack because the clamps block the way to attach the panniers. One can attach the tube using the provided sturdy cable ties but not easily as room is needed for the shock, muffler, etc.. I could barely find a place to mount it but only using the cable ties and even then it they would have to be a little loose because it cannot be brought snug against the mounting points with the result that the tube vibrates around (which is not a good, secure solution).Short story: I think the mid-size bottle is suitable for a 1 liter fuel bottle but without the locking feature, or with the locking cap for tools and stuff, but isn't a sure thing even on a pretty large motorbike if you use hard panniers; your bike may be different. I'm going to buy the tight fitting fabric holder which actually costs a few dollars more. Alas, it's too late to return my tube.

Its a plastic tube
To big to fit on my klx250s but I'll find a use for it somewhere else.

Search Google 1st!!! "Tool Tube" or "Manual Canister"
For what the intended purpose I purchased the tube for, it does the job. Being a hard plastic tube, mounted to my motorcycle for a 30 oz MSR fuel bottle (reserve/backup gasoline canister) it does serve that purpose well and it allows enough space inside to house other items you may wish to include like a nylon bristle brush (toothbrush) to clean your chain, etc.2 gripes, hence 2 stars knocked off:1st, the threads on the cap and the body are poorly cut so you can "skip" 2 full turns and it doesn't care how your lining them up. This can easily lead to cross threading the cap and makes the seal useless. - 1 star. I painted a white line where the threads "should" marry to help remedy this, and it's noticeable when you're aligned vs off by a bit.2nd: this is a GENERIC canister marked up 400% from what can be bought in ANY STATE . But due to California Prop 65 (exposure to toxic substance law of 1986) they won't ship here, and is $4.99 elsewhere doing a simple Google search for "Manual Canister" or "Tool Tube". How this distributor is able to ship to my state of CA is ??? But $20 instead of $5... I understand profit margins, but if elsewhere $5 is still making a profit... give me a break. Have to pay out the nose. Lucky me. - 1 star for obvious price gouge.
