Q: Is this vest made with 100% real leather?

Yes I really like it, great quality

Q: I would like to put a number of patches on both the front and back of this vest would it be okay for me to sew them through the liner?

Yeah see through the liner just watch that you miss the pockets I find it best to take them to a seamstress who has experience sewing leather for patches like that

Q: Does gun pocket have a holster?

Not exactly. It does have two elastic bands. One is smaller, and obviously meant for a clip. The larger one though would be used to put the barrel through, to keep your boom stick in a "secure" position... with the grip towards the front of the pocket. Except, the elastic band is sewed in horizontally. So if you were to put your gun into it, the muzzle would point at the ground, and the grip would point up to your chest... not ideal for a quick draw. The pocket is quite deep though, and can easily hold a medium, to large frame. You could probably stuff a D.E. .50 in there. I just don't use the elastic. Hope this helps.

Q: What's the chest size on your 5x? I need 64"

I wear about 54-56in... fit very snug. I can button it all the way but no room during my ride. Unbuttoned was pretty nice. Ok product but 5x may be to small for you.
