BEWARE you need to know that although I gave this 5 stars it is no substitute for a permanent AC product. It has its it's drawbacks as a portable unit.Pros it works! It kept my bedroom under 23 degrees Celsius all summer.MODS The exhaust hose is too short as my outward opening windows are at the top of the window (very common in UK houses) it was about 30cm too short... Resulting in me having to put on a chair and tie it to the chair (AC shudders when the compressor starts/stops. A bit of a pain to faff but the benefits are better.The remote although convenient is almost useless with only the On Off being used. The problem is that the display is on the top, meaning you have to be looking down at the unit (even when not on a chair) this means that you have no idea what setting the AC in on (or if it is just the fan or dehumidifier setting) which is more annoying than you might think so only the On/off is used.Naff display aside and short hose... It is good.CONS you MUST know how single hose portable AC works and it is NOT EFFICIENT and this powerful AC had the power to suck the door open! If I didn't pull the door hard (if is a self closing door) it would stop the door closing resulting it lost cooling... The sound of the air being pulled through the gap under the door was a spooky sound that I had to use a draft excluder.Sleep quality is NOT for light to normal sleepers. I am a heavy sleeper and I could only just cope with it.On the whole I LOVE this AC unit and can't believe I waited so long and sweated with fans for so many years, but this is only a step till I get FULL PROPER AC.

Using the 9000 version in a top floor studio flat that gets incredibly warm on sunny days (40C +!}! This air conditioner cools the room very quickly, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the right temp then cycles between fan mode and cooling to keep it there.I don’t think the noise is that bad, not much louder than the fan I used to have going, however there is some vibration on cooling mode so I’ve used a rubber mat underneath to dampen it for the neighbours.Some reviewers have mentioned the air coming out on the left, but remember it’s not a fan, you’re supposed to cool the whole room not sit in front of it, so it’s not a problem for the intended use.I like the filter on the side, helps to keep fluff and dust out of the system. There’s also a water tank which I think is designed to work with “dry mode” but I haven’t needed to empty it yet. And I like that the LED is on the top so it’s not shining towards me at night.If you’re reading this on a hot humid UK summer night wondering if an air con is worth the cost - I would say YES! I’ve been able to sleep normally when it’s 20C overnight, work from home without sweating all day, and I have less hay fever and bugs indoors because the windows are closed. My pets are very happy with it too and I can leave it on and not worry about them overheating if I need to pop out for a bit.One thing to note, it didn’t come with a window seal kit, just the pipe, so you’ll need to purchase that separately.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - live in a top floor flat so gets really hot, I’ve had this way over a year now and it just gets better and better! Super affordable and amazing for a large sized room.Only thing I would say is it is a bit loud but if you are like me and like white noise this should be a dream for you! :)

Bought it to cool down the bedroom. Perfect size to fit in the corner out the way. Cools the room down nice and quickly. Good value for money.

Was pretty good at first but the buttons on top of the machine have stopped working. Messaged the seller to see if they will exchange it. Not what you expect for this sort of money.In terms of cold air though it is good, quite noisy so not recommended if you’re a light sleeper but it was ok for me

We bought this on the back of a recommendation from some friends and it hasn’t disappointed. It gets really cool and makes us much more comfortable. The only downside is that it’s quite noisy. But you get used to it.

Description of the product hides many major defects.

It is noisy like all AC units will be however it’s changed my life- I’m sleeping so much better in the hot nights. It makes the room you use it in ice cold which is refreshing. It works quite quickly and there’s a noticeable difference in the room within 10 minutes.
