Bose® UB-20 Wall/Ceiling Bracket (Single) – White

My house is a new construction home and the builder pre-wired the living room for surround sound. As a result where all the speaker wire was ran, there were these blank wall plates to hide them. I knew when I ordered these that they would be smaller than the wall plates because my dad has the exact same setup at his house.So I did what he did, which was to mount the brackets directly to the wall plate. He did these a while back so he didn't remember the details, so what I did to compensate was I went and bought flat head machine screws with nuts. I believe 10-32 screws like the ones found here:#10-32x3/4" Flat Head Screws with NutsI then removed the wall plates, used the included template and a sharpie to mark the drill holes, and drilled what I believe was a 7/32" hole in the marked spots. I screwed down the brackets with the nut on the inside to hold it in place and screwed the wall plates back to their housing (which was very sturdy). These are extremely well designed and beautiful.They include a plastic plate to cover the screws. you can use 2 screws vertically to mount on a wood stud, or 4 screws to mount to the drywall with the provided anchors.These are only for bose speakers (they use smaller screws than standard). I modified them for non-bose speakers (modification is not easy unless you have the right tools) because I like the quality and design. BTW, I had Bose speakers before but the speakers suck compared to the competition. But bose products do look good.

These guys do know how to engineer a consumer product - and their bracket really completes the owner experience of the Bose jewel cube satellite speaker. I was going to build my speakers into the drywall but found that the way they radiate energy (broader from side to side than 180 degrees) a projected speaker positioning was mandatory. Now, after installing with the Bose bracket I think the speakers look better - and certainly perform better, than a flush mounting. Way cool. Have I belabored the point? Tom

I like Bose but they remind me of Apple a little bit. A lot of hype for a decent, not ridiculously great product. I've found this bracket to be an utter PAIN to install but it looks good when it's finished. It reminds me of the "Do It Yourself" furniture at Ikea. It looks great in the store and then you're busting your fingers putting the stuff together at home.

If you have Bose "cube" speakers and you want to mount to a wall or ceiling, these handy little brackets do a nice job and the speakers can be mounted in a variety of positions and directions. The kit comes with mounting hardware for different surfaces, such as dry wall or wood. Instructions are only pictures--no written copy. The only criticism I have would be when the speaker is pointed to the far left on the bracket, which makes it difficult to reach the set-screw that holds the speaker to the bracket. The bubble pack also includes an extender to drop the speaker a few inches below the bracket, which would come in handy for suspended ceilings. Build quality is very good.

I bought these to mount some older Accoustimas speakers on the walls around my living room. The design allows you to direct the sound into the room however you want. They are specifically made for Bose Accoustimas speakers and may not fit other speaker brands. They are very well made and come with all the hardware you need. They work exactly as intended

I bought four speaker mounts and one of it had the wall bracket clip broken. I had no time to contact the seller but the QA check should have caught this obvious defect.

I don't want to downgrade a Bose replacement bracket just because the category "I love it" seems over the top. (Couldn't there be a category that doesn't downgrade the product or seller, but is not some "Everyone gets a gold star" equivalent?) This bracket was exactly as ordered and it was delivered timely. So, I guess "I love it."
