Tricity Grill Pan Handle

This was ordered as like for like replacement when the one I had was dropped and the plastic handle broke at the fixing screw boss. The new one arrived just wrapped in brown paper and lots of sticky tape. When I finally got it open the handle was tried out and it immediately became apparent that it was not secure enough to lift a hot grill pan, on comparing the old and the new I noticed a slight difference in the metal parts. A little judicious bending improved things but not to my complete satistfaction. The final solution was to use the old metal and new plastic components and hey presto I had working handle again.My suggestions are1) A better grade plastic that will survive minor drops such as from a work surface.2) Improved quality control on the metalwork.3) More professional packaging

It's a grill pan handle that you can't leave on the grill pan while cooking. If you do the handle heats, splits and distorts so you are unable to re-glue it. Fine if you use it as a detachable handle but it's easy to forget and leave it on. We have had three now including the one supplied with our AEG double oven. Between my wife and I we have broken all three.

The grill pan handle works but is a bit loose between the two parts of the handle (bit tricky to explain!)
